PREFACE August 9 The tenth annual Graduate School Data Book includes a collection of information designed to answer frequently asked questions about Illinois State University s Graduate School. The information for Fiscal Year 9 is organized in major sections: overview, programs, degrees conferred and resources, reference, and definitions. An appendix offers information on the interpretative data used to score reports and an institutional profile from the Survey of Earned Doctorates. Illinois State University began offering master s degree programs in 94; doctoral work was introduced in 96. In Fiscal Year 9, the University offered 4 master s programs (including the Master of Fine Arts and the Master of Business Administration), eight doctoral programs (Biological Sciences, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration, English Studies, Mathematics Education, School Psychology, Special Education, and Doctor of Audiology), a Specialist in School Psychology, and eleven graduatelevel certificates.
