Practice Math TAKS Testing Highlights Testing Window Schools may schedule both grades simultaneously or separately. o The testing window is: February 13-17, 2012. o The entire school day is blocked off for testing. Grades tested Students in other grades (repeating 9 th graders, for example) may test if deemed beneficial to the students learning. o Grade 10 o Grade 11 Subject areas Blueprints are posted on MyData Portal. o Math February 13-17, 2012 Test Security This practice test has the same expectations for academic honesty and integrity. o This test is the same level as a TAKS released test. o Security oaths, seating charts, wall coverings, and switching teachers are not required. Testing Materials All testing materials will be shipped and delivered to schools by February 9, 2012. o Student test booklets o Headers o Answer sheets (printed alphabetically for each grade) You will also need. o No. 2 pencils o DO NOT DISTURB signs for testing areas Testing Accommodations There are no modified versions of this practice test. o Review IEPs and administer test accommodations as per TAKS testing. o Graphing calculators allowed for all students. Scoring / Results Schools may deliver their answer sheets for scanning upon completion of the test. o Answer sheets are scanned and must be hand-delivered. o Test data will be uploaded on MyData Portal. o Final test scores are diagnostic and intended for instructional use only. Testing Items Testing Materials o Student test booklets are consumable and will be shipped in bundles of 25. Grade 10 Practice TAKS Math Test Grade 11 Practice TAKS Math Test o Teacher headers will be pre-coded. Blanks will also be shipped. Required categories for teacher headers: - 1. TEACHER NAME - 2. EMPLOYEE ID (Must use a leading zero if shorter than 6 digits i.e. 000116) - 3. TEA NUMBER - 4. TEST CODE (Enter 1101 for grade 10 and 1111 for grade 11) - 5. YR (Enter 1 for grade 10 and 11 Reading) - 6. FORM (Enter 19 ) o Student answer sheets will be pre-coded. Blanks will also be shipped. The red answer sheets will be printed in alphabetical order by grades 10 and 11. Required categories for student answer sheets: - 1. Student Name - 2. Test Administration Scheduling o Test Coordinators may schedule testing during the window of February 13-17, 2012. o Grades 10 and 11 may test simultaneously or on different days. o Student test booklets must be collected and secured before leaving for lunch. o Plan activities for students who finish testing early. Test Security during testing days o Tests must be taken in one sitting. o Test booklets should not be passed out in advance. o Teachers may not use the tests to review the students. o Campus cell phone policies are in effect for students and staff. Testing Materials o Instructions for how to answer the questions are noted within the tests for students. No facilitator scripts are included for teachers. o Test Coordinators may return unused testing materials to the Assessment Service Center. o Additional test booklets may be requested with the order form. Scanning o Test Coordinators may hand-deliver the answer sheets for scanning from 7:30am-4:00pm during the testing window at the Assessment Service Center 2525 S. Ervay Street on the 2nd floor.
