WHAT YOU LL STUDY The Master of Arts in TESOL is designed to meet the professional development needs of those working or interested in a range of language teaching fields. It provides an advanced TESOL qualification for Australian and international English language practitioners who wish to work in the field of English language teaching and undertake research-based projects related to English language teaching and learning. GRADUATE DIPLOMA The Graduate Diploma in TESOL provides a teacher training qualification which reflects Australian and International industry standards. The course is suitable for teachers in other educational fields (e.g. primary and secondary education), and for graduates in any field wishing to develop a long-term career in TESOL in Australia and overseas. GRADUATE CERTIFICATE The Graduate Certificate in TESOL provides an initial teacher training qualification which reflects Australian and International industry standards. The course is suitable for teachers in other educational fields (e.g. primary and secondary education), and for graduates in any field wishing to develop a long-term career in TESOL in Australia. The TESOL component is consistent with the industry standard in the Australian and international contexts. The Translation component consists of theoretical and practical training in translation, leading to accreditation by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) as a Professional Translator. Many of our students who study Interpreting and Translation at the University gain National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) accreditation.
