Miranda Cory Hundl District 10 Conference Co-Chair District 10 Conference Co-Chair Kathleen Greer District 10 Extension Administrator Megan Logan District 10 4-H Specialist Overview: The 2016 District 10 4-H Conference will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Comfort High School in Comfort, TX. This conference gives youth and adults from around the district the opportunity to expand their 4-H knowledge by highlighting projects from different areas. It provides for district level leadership that they can take back to their county and teach to local 4-Hers. This conference will feature four (4) rotating sessions for youth and adults. These sessions will offer various training on available contests and project experiences. Cost: $20.00 per registrant, youth and adults; fee includes lunch and supplies The schedule for the day will be: 9:00 am - 9:30 am Registration 9:40 am - 10:20 am Rotation I 10:25am - 11:05 am Rotation II 11:10am - 11:50 am Rotation III 11:50 am - 12:30 pm Lunch- included with your registration 12:35 pm - 1:15 pm Rotation IV 1:20 pm - 1:50 pm Games and Activities 2:00 pm 3:00 pm District 10 council Meeting * Youth and adults will be attending the same sessions* *** Schedule subject to change*** Youth Rotating Sessions Scholarships Leaders 4 Life / Parliamentary Procedure Judging Contests Session Description Texas 4-H gives out over 2.3 million in scholarship annually! This workshop will provide information on the process and some key points in record keeping and best ways to showcase your 4-H experiences. Robert s Rules of Order. WHAT??? In this session, you will learn from those who started out with very little knowledge on this subject and are the current National Champions! This is a project filled with opportunities to build confidence, teamwork, have fun and learn all at the same time. Learn more about the ins and outs of 4-H Judging contests. This

Outdoor Education/ Natural Resources session will be divided into two parts so that participants can learn about more than one contest. Explore the world with the natural resources project! There are numerous project opportunities to become involved in that will broaden your project experience. Registration: Registration will be completed on 4-H Connect by August 10, 2016. All 4-H members, parents, volunteers, agents, or other youth not of 4-H age must register to participate in the event. AGENT/PROGRAM ASSISTANT REGISTRATION: Agents and program assistants will need to use the Agent/Program Assistant Registration tab in 4-H Connect to register. YOUTH AND ADULT REGISTRATION (PARENTS, VOLUNTEERS): All youth and adults registering for Conference will need to be entered on 4-H Connect. If you have a small child that is going to stay with a parent, please let the District 10 Office know. Registration will be DUE on 4-H Connect on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.
