It is extremely important to identify the transfer institution early in your program here at HACC to maximize the transferability of your courses. 2) Minimum requirements: minimum 3.0 GPA, passing PAPA scores, satisfactory clearances: a. Students must successfully complete the Pre-service Academic Performance Assessment (PAPA) and other curriculum requirements before they can be admitted to the Elementary Education Advanced Professional Studies (junior and senior year curriculum at 4-year institutions) block of classes at any 4- year institution. Admission into the Elementary Education Advanced Professional Studies (junior and senior year curriculum at 4-year institutions) requires a students to have a satisfactory Act 34 (Criminal Record Check), Act 114 (FBI Fingerprint clearance), and Act 151 (Child Abuse) report. Please note: the Act 34 - Criminal Background includes underage drinking violations, DUI, and any drug offenses. If ACT 34 or any other clearances might be a problem, you may want to speak with the education department at the transfer institution or consider another career option. Download form at : www.dpw.state.pa.us (Click on Find a Form on the left hand menu. In the list on the right, choose Child Abuse History Clearance Form and click on it. Select School as the Purpose of Clearance ) Pay $10 payment with a certified check or money order (no personal checks). Keep your receipt. After submitting them, please wait 1 week to register You will need to make copies of your clearance documents for any courses that require observation hours.
