This course is career-focused and covers both practical and theoretical aspects of interior design. Course code HE20520 Design Centre Enmore 3 years full-time $2,000 per subject The Bachelor of 3D Art and Animation is a three-year practical and professional degree that prepares graduates for careers as 3D and visual effects artists and animators. It is the only degree of its type in New South Wales and is delivered at the Design Centre Enmore, Sydney. This course requires you to complete 24 subjects. Technical skills. You will work with highly-experienced and technicallyproficient teachers with current industry experience. Most of our teachers have worked on television and feature film animations. Industry skills. You will work on practical projects in a simulated workplace environment. Course code HE20506 Ultimo Campus 3 years full-time $2,000 per subject The Fashion Design Studio (FDS) at Sydney TAFE Ultimo has been a leading Fashion Design education institute since 1955 and has produced a large number of well-known and highly acclaimed fashion designers. In 2015 FDS was named the top fashion school in Australia and in the top 50 fashion schools in the world by Fashionista magazine. With a reputation spanning decades, FDS continues to produce graduates with highly developed creative and technical skills in both the fashion and textile and print design disciplines. This course requires you to complete 28 subjects. Most subjects cost $2,000 but some subjects cost $1,000. The Bachelor of Fashion Design teaches students about colour, design, illustration and CAD, whilst also teaching the technical skills to achieve design realisation. Course code HE20510 Glendale campus Nirimba campus Randwick campus Shellharbour campus 4 years full-time $1,000 per subject The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care (Birth 5) is a fouryear teaching degree. With the federal government committed to increasing the number of four-year trained early childhood teachers, graduates of this course will be in high demand. This course requires you to complete 32 class-based subjects and 8 work placement subjects. No tuition fee is charged for the work placement subjects. There is a strong, applied learning focus to this degree so that when you graduate, you will be ready to work in a variety of settings including long day care, preschool, integrated child and family services and early intervention services. As well as learning to become an early childhood teacher, you will study child development and pedagogical practices, welfare, ethics, diversity and social justice. Each semester, full time students complete four core campus-based subjects as well as a practical work placement. The work placement gives you the opportunity to apply what you ve learned in a real early childhood teaching environment. Work placements. By the end of the degree you will have completed eight professional experience placements with children from birth to five years. A supportive learning environment. BACHELOR OF PROPERTY VALUATION The Bachelor of Property Valuation is a three year degree which prepares graduates for work as a valuer in a range of contexts across residential, commercial and public sectors, both in Australia and overseas. This course has a strong focus on providing students with both practical skills and theoretical knowledge. You will learn about the property market, property classifications, current property values, and how the practice of property valuation is underpinned by legislation, regulations and legal precedents. APPLYING FOR ENTRY INTO A TAFE DEGREE Eligibility for degree courses You must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for admission to a TAFE NSW Higher Education undergraduate degree program: > > NSW HSC (Higher School Certificate) or equivalent; or > > Tertiary Preparation Certificate; or > > Certificate IV level or higher vocational qualification; or > > completion of at least one year full-time study or equivalent in a degree course at a higher education institution. Entry requirements Each course of study may set its own specific entry requirements in addition to the minimum eligibility requirements above. For example, students may need to successfully complete a test and/or interview or submit a portfolio of art and design work. For course specific entry requirements check the course information page on the TAFE NSW website at: www. tafensw.edu.au/courses/tafe-nsw-degrees How to apply Complete an application form, and include any additional evidence listed on the application form. Submit the form to the campus you wish to study at by the closing date. The application form and closing dates can be downloaded at: www. tafensw.edu.au/courses/tafe-nsw-degrees/ applying-and-fees Your application will be assessed against the entry requirements for the course. Where applications exceed places, 14 www.tafensw.edu.au/courses/tafe-nsw-degrees applicants will be ranvbased on the merits of their application. Offers will be made in rank order. If your application is successful If your application is successful, the campus will send you an offer letter. To accept the offer of a place, you must complete and return the Acceptance Form that is attached to your offer letter by the date specified in the offer letter. If you do not accept the offer by the date indicated, your offer will be withdrawn and your place in the course will be offered to another applicant. International students International students are subject to different application processes, including minimum English language proficiency at IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6 in any one band. For further information go to: www. studyintafe.edu.au/study/tafe FEES AND PAYMENT International students For information about tuition fees for international students, go to: www. studyintafe.edu.au/study/tafe Domestic students Tuition fees Tuition fees for higher education courses are charged on a per-subject basis and are payable each semester. You only pay for subjects you are enrolled in each semester. Tuition fees charged for each subject vary between courses. You should check the course you wish to apply for to determine the relevant tuition fees. Tuition fees are reviewed regularly and are subject to

change. You will pay the subject tuition fee relevant to each semester. This will not necessarily be the same subject fee that you paid when you first enrolled. You can access the TAFE NSW Higher Education tuition fee schedule at: www.tafensw.edu. au/courses/tafe-nsw-degrees/for-degreestudents Equipment and other costs In addition to tuition fees, you may be required to purchase additional resources (such as equipment, protective clothing and textbooks) in connection with some subjects of your course. The course coordinator will advise you of any additional costs related to your course. Fee payment options Paying fees up-front Tuition fees and other enrolment-related charges can be paid up-front by EFTPOS, Visa Card, Master Card, personal cheque, bank cheque or money order, at your local Australia Post office or by BPAY. Cash is not accepted. Study now, pay later FEE-HELP The Australian government provides assistance to higher education students through the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP). FEE-HELP is a student loan scheme and is available to eligible feepaying students to pay all or part of their tuition fees. FEE-HELP is available for all TAFE NSW degrees and provides eligible students with the option of: > > taking out a FEE-HELP loan from the commonwealth for all of their tuition fees; or > > paying part of their tuition fees upfront and taking out a FEE-HELP loan for the balance. Am I eligible for a FEE-HELP loan? To be eligible for FEE-HELP you must: > > be an Australian citizen or a permanent humanitarian visa holder who will be resident in Australia for the duration of study. From 2016 some New Zealand citizens may be eligible for FEE-HELP; > > provide a tax file number; > > not exceed your FEE-HELP loan limit; > > provide, or be allocated, a Commonwealth Higher Education Student Support Number (CHESSN) a unique identifying number provided by the Australian government. How do I pay back the loan? You repay your FEE-HELP loan through the Australian tax system when you reach the minimum income threshold for repayment. How do I apply for FEE-HELP? To apply for FEE-HELP, you must: > > read the FEE-HELP Information Booklet which you can access at www.studyassist.gov.au; and > > complete a Request for FEE-HELP Assistance form on or before the census date. You can get a hard copy Request for FEE-HELP Assistance form from the campus, or you can complete it electronically when you enrol. More information It is important to note that FEE-HELP is a loan between you and the commonwealth government and subject to rules set by the government. TAFE NSW Higher Education and its students must comply with FEE- HELP rules. It is also important to note that the commonwealth charges a 25% loan fee for FEE-HELP loans for undergraduate programs.
