Date & Schedule The IST International Day will take place on 11th October 2017, from 10h00 to 18h00 Location Instituto Superior Técnico, Alameda Campus, Main Building Hall Background International experience, intercultural skills and the ability to work in innovative environments have become fundamental to increase the competitiveness of IST s future Engineers and Architects. This is the context where IST will organise the 10th edition of the International Day. This popular event has almost 50 foreign Higher Education Institutions from more than 25 different countries. This notable exposure will be crucial to broaden the horizons and intensify international student mobility perspectives in the near future. Mission Provide a forum for faculty, researchers and students to directly contact some of IST s international partners. Disseminate mobility opportunities for students: international academic mobility programmes, Double Degrees, joint Masters and Doctoral programmes, internships, etc. Create a community environment that will stimulate the exchange of ideas between the international partners and the IST community as well as opportunities for new partnerships and projects worldwide. Promote IST s culture of internationalisation. Ambiance The International Day 2017 aims to virtually transport the IST community abroad to different places and countries worldwide by providing the participants with information about the endless possibilities of student mobility in different Universities and programmes, including opportunities for the entire academic community. Dynamics The International Day 2017 will consist of a forum of University booths and students will be motivated to get their passport stamped by as many booths as possible (50%+1) to be eligible to win prizes. (Hotel vouchers, FNAC gift certificates, t-shirts and merchandise we will be given away). You are welcome to bring some paraphernalia to give to students to attract them to your booth. Material Each institution will be awarded a small booth to put flyers and/or a laptop. Behind each booth, there will be a poster board to put posters, flyers or other material. If you have any video(s) or films you would like to share with the participants, they will be displayed on the tv sets found in the exhibition area. If this is your case, please upload them no later than September 15th to the Google Drive mentioned below. Booths Each booth will include the name of the institution and on the lower part of the desk/booth, the logo. Please upload in the Google Drive link mentioned bellow your institutional logo in vector (.EPS/.AI), and.pdf or.jpg format no later than September 15th. Files Upload By no later than September 15th kindly upload the videos, photos and your Institutional logo, using the following Google Drive link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0b98msubbzw4dmepqtny1v2ppcdq?usp=sharing Equipment Each booth will comprise: 1 poster board (0,95m wide X 2m high each) for your posters of programmes, touristic/destination info, t-shirts, flags, etc.; 1 small counter to place a laptop (you must bring your own), and a few brochures (promotional material, gifts, pens, etc.); 1 chair; 1 extension cord; tape and scissors to put your posters. Booth Location There will be a plan with the location of each booth. This information will be sent to you at a later date. Internet Exhibitors will have free Wi-Fi access for the duration of the event. Access credentials will be provided during welcome and registration. Setting up You can set up your booth on 10 October from 15h30-17h30 or on 11 October from 8h30-9h30. You must dismantle on 11th October from 18h00-18h30. Participants and Meals Each booth will have a maximum of 2 persons per Institution. A lunch box (1 per person) and water will be distributed. There will be a coffee-station (tea, biscuits) all day long for participants and guests.

Social programme, 11 October Hotel Mundial Rooftop Bar (18H30-19H30) Address: Praça Martim Moniz, 2, 1100-341 Lisboa After the event, exhibitors are invited to unwind in a Roof-top lounge and terrace for a cocktail in a pleasant typical Portuguese environment as the sun sets (weather conditions allowing). If you are travelling with a companion (spouse, relative, etc.), he/she can also participate in this activity. If you wish, your companion may purchase a voucher (25 EUR) through IST organizing staff during the International Day.
