The entire course programme is available on www.alliancerotterdam.nl General French course The most popular French course at the Alliance There are courses for all entry levels (A1.1 till C1) for adults who need French for their work, studies or vacation and for those who wish to learn it for pleasure. Interactive course methods, with a lot of attention for practicing All language skills are addressed: speaking, listening, reading and writing Courses are given in French by French teachers Courses are concluded by an end evaluation (with the exception of level C1); with a sufficient result you will receive a certificate Quite some people already speak French thanks to this course and our enthusiastic and engaged teachers. This is why it is the most popular course at the Alliance Française. Prices upon request For both kinds of private courses the proceduse is as follows: Before you start a private course, we make an appointment with you for an elaborate intake and an entry assessment. During this appointment we will look at: The desired content of the lessons The number of lessons you will need to achieve your goal Your availability and the frequency of the lessons A course for more persons is an option, provided that the entry level and the desired content of the course are the same Private courses start throughout the whole academic year Children s courses Learn French in a playful way Individuals A tailored individual course If you wish to make progress faster or if you have a specific learning goal, an individual course could be cut out for you. Prices upon request At the Alliance Française Rotterdam, both Dutch and French children are welcome to learn how to speak and write (better) French. There are three groups in total: two for French children and one for Dutch children: 1. Les Petits (5-7 year olds) : improve oral proficiency by means of stories, games and songs. 2. Les Grands (7-11 year olds) : next to oral proficiency, also reading- and writing skills. 3. Les néerlandais (7-11 year olds) : a first acquaintance with the French language. Lessons on Wednesday afternoon, from September till May. For further information we refer to our website. Literature course & Actualités et expressions Both courses are given during the day, on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. They are meant for people who at least master the French language at level B2. During Les rencontres autour d un livre, we will discuss contemporary French literature. During the course Actualités et expressions, we will run conversations about French and Dutch topical subject matter. For further information we refer to our website. Examination centre Official centre for international examinations and certificates Our diplomas and certificates are a valuable step forwards in your career, study or possible emigration plans. They are available at all levels. For current examination dates and costs, please consult our website: www.alliancerotterdam.nl DELF/ DALF: Diplôme d études en Langue française / Diplôme approfondi de la langue française These are internationally recognised diplomas, issued by the French Ministry of Education (le CIEP). With this diploma, you can guarantee your French language proficiency. There are two examination sessions per year: in December and June. The next examination round will take place from 11 up to and including 15 December 2017. DFP: Diplôme de Français Professionnel These diplomas are aimed at business French and will be issued by the French Chamber of Commerce (la CCIP). With this diploma you can show that you also master the French language at a professional level. There are two examination sessions per year: in December and in May/June. The next examination round will take place from 4 till 8 December 2017. TCF / TEF : Test de Connaissance du Français/ Test d Évaluation du français Both the CIEP and the CCIP offer the opportunity to pass a progressive level test. You can use the assessment if you wish to work or study in France, or if you wish to emigrate to France or Quebec (Canada) for example. Preparatory course DELF Increase your chances to pass the DELF exam! During the course you will practice your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. After the participation of this course, the pass rate is 80%! Minimum 4 I maximum 8 students per group 1 x week - 3 hrs lessons - 6 weeks 18:30 hrs until 21:30 hrs A2 / B1 / B2 Depending on the number of participants: 4: 300 I 5: 265 I 6: 220 (excl. registration fee and book)

Culture The Alliance Française Rotterdam organises cultural activities for its students and all those who take an interest in the French language and culture. A few examples of our activities are: «Beaujolais Nouveau» evenings, a workshop in wine tasting, Happy Hours for networking, Poetry International Festival evenings, lectures, exhibitions and performances.
