The program requires students to complete the MSN program core courses (17 credit hours) and six courses (22 credit hours) in Nursing Leadership and Healthcare Administration. A significant advantage of this program is that students may use the RN-MSN point of entry by completing the required three BSN transition courses.

POST-MASTER S CERTIFICATE IN NURSING EDUCATION The Post-Master s Certificate in Nursing Education program provides opportunities for students who already have a master s degree in nursing to gain specialized knowledge within the nursing education specialty area. The program is open to registered nurses who possess a master s degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing school. Students have two options to complete the certificate program: one with a Practicum course and one without a Practicum course. Students completing one of these two programs of study will be awarded a Post-Master s Certificate in Nursing Education.

Master of Athletic Training (M AT)* PROFESSIONAL DEGREE PROGRAM ACCREDITATION *Charleston Southern University is currently phasing out the existing Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training degree program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). The Master of Athletic Training (M AT) program and curriculum is awaiting final approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), which should occur during the 2016-2017 academic year. Furthermore, the M AT program is awaiting a degree level approval and re-accreditation from the CAATE, which is scheduled to occur during the 2017-2018 academic year. A student may enroll in the M AT at CSU in the summer of 2017 but must understand that the CAATE re-accreditation will not occur until after their first year in the program. They collaborate with physicians to provide prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. The Athletic Training Program at Charleston Southern prepares students to become well-rounded, clinically sound, professionally certified athletic trainers through a rigorous didactic and clinical education program. The cohort-based program spans 24 months with a strong emphasis in evidence-based clinical examination and diagnosis of injuries and illness sustained by physically active patients. Our program provides future athletic trainers with the knowledge, skills and abilities to function as an integral member of the health care team. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Our program is the first and only professional Master of Athletic Training program in South Carolina. CSU recently opened a new 2,000-square-foot state-of-the-art Athletic Training Program Lab. The CSU Athletic Training Program is committed to providing diverse, authentic and immersive clinical experiences. The undergraduate Athletic Training Program, initially accredited in 2003, has a history of excellence on the Board of Certification (BOC) exam and in the profession of athletic training with alumni working across the United States.

Master of Arts (MA) Christian Studies The Master of Arts in Christian Studies at CSU equips believers with the crucial knowledge and skills needed for an effective, Christ-honoring ministry. It s a great option for pastors, group leaders or anyone wanting to learn more. DR. SOFTWARE ENGINEERING EMPHASIS The Software Engineering emphasis prepares students for software engineering positions that require proficiency in specific areas of the software-development life cycle: requirements gathering/definition, software quality assurance and software testing and maintenance. RESEARCH The MS in Computer Science program also offers master s level students the opportunity to pursue research projects.

THESIS TRACK (33 HOURS) The Thesis Track is designed for students considering law school, higher education teaching opportunities or future research. This track requires two Thesis courses. NONTHESIS TRACK (36 HOURS) The Nonthesis Track is designed for students generally already working within the criminal justice field and seeking professional development opportunities.
