Registering and Signing in To access the program, go to MyMathLabforSchool.com. If you don t have a Pearson account, you will need to register as a first-time user. Registering Start the registration process by clicking Educator. You will need a Teacher Access Code in order to register. If you don t already have a code, click Request an access code. Once you have an access code, return to this screen and click Register. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account. Registering is easy, and you will only have to do it once. Creating a Course Your My Courses page is the first page you will see when you sign in to MyMathLab for School. Click Create/Copy Course to get started. On the Create a Course page, enter the title, author s last name, and/or the ISBN of your textbook in the Search field. Then click the search icon. The Select Course Materials page lists all of the textbooks related to your search. Scroll down the list until you see your textbook or course. Click Select next to your textbook. On the Enter Course Details page, use the default selection of Student-use Course so students can enroll in your course. In the Course Name field, enter the name of your class, such as Precalculus. Enter a brief description of your course, and then check the Allow Copy option so you can make copies of this course in the future. Confirming a Course Once you have created your course you will see a confirmation page. Each course is assigned a unique Course ID which is listed here. Students need this Course ID as well as a Student Access Code in order to enroll in your course. Note that new courses may take up to three hours to create. Course Home Page Once you ve created your course, click the course name on your My Courses page to navigate to the Course Home page. Your instructor Course Home page is similar to your students view of their Course Home page, except that students do not have access to the educator settings. Menu items marked with this icon are hidden from your students course menu. You will find course materials in the menu. Depending on your textbook, you and your students will have access to a variety of features to support teaching and learning, such as the etext, which is a digital version of the textbook. Assignment Manager Create or copy homework, quizzes, and tests using the Assignment Manager. Click Create Assignment to create your own assignments. Or if you prefer, you can copy and assign sample assignments. These homework assignments, quizzes, and tests are already created and ready to assign to your students. Study Plan Manager Using the Study Plan Manager, you can manage students individualized Study Plans. When a student enrolls in a course, an adaptive Study Plan is automatically created. This Study Plan provides targeted, personalized recommendations about sections or objectives that students should work on next. Students work on these recommendations by clicking Practice. Once they have practiced the section or objective, they click Quiz Me to see if they have mastered the material. Using the Study Plan Manager, you can edit the settings for your students Study Plans. Gradebook You can save time on grading and reporting with the MyMathLab for School Gradebook. Use the Gradebook to see how your students are performing on their assignments and Study Plans. Assignments are automatically scored, and the results are recorded in the Gradebook. You can view assignment results and reports for the whole class or for individual students. Additionally, the Reporting Dashboard presents student performance data at the class, section, and program levels in an accessible, visual manner.
