e learning centre (ELC) It is one of earliest and most competitive higher education centre in Cairo, Electronic learning Egypt, ELEG (also named e learning centre (ELC), implemented for more than 14 years online instruction to deliver distance education courses and programs, using LMS (Moodle) When the technologies of the information and the communication were still young, the ELC was born (2003)

ELEG 2003 2006 ELEG is an acronym for a project which begun in September 2003 within the European Community Program Tempus. The project was promoted by CATTID (Italy), Unimed (Union of Universities of Mediterranean Italy), the University of Cairo (Egypt), the ADEC (Association for Skills Development and Enterprise France).

Our Vision Use new technology to push the envelope of the educational process

Our Mission To allow Cairo University to become autonomous in producing WEB based e learning courses and to fully evolve into a true International University ELC is a dynamic, open, access center that provides high quality e learning education for the higher education students and educational experiences for community. The center promotes lifelong learning, work force development, and social and culture enrichment

Aims Produce electronic courses for colleges and institutes of the university at the level of bachelors and graduate. Training sessions for Cairo University staff. Training sessions for technicians on the standard implementation of electronic courses. Participate in future plans of colleges and institutes of the university in the production of electronic courses. Produce electronic educational resources for individuals and production and services institutions in the country. Cooperation with counterparts in local universities and foreign Arab to cope up with global developments and obtain the support of donors to carry out joint projects. Provide technical support and supervision on Focal points units in different colleges within the university.

Projects Strengthening of the Open University E Learning Centre at Cairo University, Egypt (Tempus) UNIMED CATTID ADEC 2003 2006

Projects 1 Fully equipped E learning production centre. 2 Skilled personnel to run the renewed EL centre in Cairo. 3 First set of pilot EL courses 4 Structured feedbacks on how to improve the quality and contents of the courses 5 Dissemination campaign and sustainability. 2003 2006

Projects is one of five different projects that have been established by The Information & Communication Technology Project (ICTP). 2007 June2017

Projects The ultimate goal of this project is to produce and facilitate the development of e courses in Cairo University. This project works on two axes: 1 E Learning for everyone and everywhere. By establishing an e learning environment by which instructors can be connected with other students. 2 Provide an adequate e Learning environment to not only regular students but also the students who do not have an opportunity to be regular students.
