With that in mind, Concordia will be introducing an MBA Program concentration in Innovation and Entrepreneurship this fall. Entrepreneurship is both a process and a mindset, and is characterized by innovation, creativity, risk taking, and experimentation. Innovation encompasses finding new and emerging markets so organizations can compete in the global marketplace and so entrepreneurs can create and launch successful startups. Designed for busy professionals, Concordia s flexible MBA program offers competitive tuition rates. On-campus classes meet one night a week for 8 weeks, or you can study online, abroad, or at one of our 13 centers. PROGRAM GOALS» Learn how to start a company, or innovate more within your company» Apply tools of social entrepreneurship to address some of society s most pressing issues» Demonstrate applied innovation, creativity, problem-solving, perseverance, and adaptability» Evaluate and identify emerging markets, trends, and challenges» Leverage technology in market research and identification» Identify legal and regulatory issues related to new business formation» Create business plans and compete for seed funds CORE CURRICULUM Concordia s MBA core curriculum consists of 8 courses:» Accounting: Financial Analysis for Decision Making» Applied Statistical Methods» Business Ethics» Corporate Finance» Issues in Human Resource Management» Leadership and Organizational Behavior» Managerial Economics» Strategic Management Students in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Concentration will then select five courses from various categories, including: - Strategic Innovation - Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship - Intellectual Property and Regulatory Issues - Internship in Innovation and Entrepreneurship - Marketing Research - New Venture Formation and Business Development - Small Business Administration/Planning - Sales Management/Salesmanship - Social Media Marketing Strategies 39 credit hours required. Concentration can be completed in approximately two years.
