PACKAGE Cmpetitive KEY RESULT AREA This is an rganic, develpmental rle and the pst requires the PYP Teacher-Librarian t be service-rientated, ensuring that key stakehlders are included in the change prgramme and that the changes meet the requirements f these stakehlders. Ultimately, the PYP Learning Centre will exist t resurce, supprt and enhance the PYP at ICS. Main Respnsibilities: The PYP Learning Centre supprts the curriculum needs f students and teachers and prfessinal develpment and curriculum innvatin at ICS. The PYP teacher-librarian s management f the centre s day-t-day functins is critical t its success as a supprt fr learning at ICS. This wrk ensures the accessibility f current and relevant resurces t PYP teachers and students. Prgram Administratin: There are imprtant behind-the-scenes respnsibilities. The teacher-librarian versees the cntinued grwth and maintenance f the cllectin, ensures that circulatin, catalguing and prcessing services functin effectively, and supervises supprt staff. In this wrk the teacher-librarian will: Circulatin and Prcessing: Fllw ICS prcedures fr circulatin and the prcessing f new resurces Train supprt staff in these prcedures as needed Catalguing: Ensure the standardizatin f catalguing shared acrss the tw ICS sites Suggest revisins f the Catalguing Cnventins as needed and share these recmmendatins with ther ICS Teacher-librarians Train supprt staff t maintain a level f quality in preliminary catalguing Cllectin Develpment: Wrk with the ther ICS Teacher-librarians t create a Cllectin Develpment Plicy which includes a Selectin Plicy, and recmmendatins fr lng term grwth Maintain recrds f teachers recmmendatins f resurces Use reviewing jurnals t keep up-t-date n new titles Identify gaps in the cllectin fr new purchase and replacement Weed ut-dated r wrn materials regularly Budget: Identify gaps in the cllectin and select resurces accrdingly Prepare resurce rders Maintain budget recrds f Learning Centre expenditures Purchase f New Resurces Maintain cntacts with lcal suppliers Teaching Qualities PYP Teaching Measure impact in teaching and learning in the PYP Learning Centre Understand, implement and prmte the inquiry cycle within the PYP Learning Centre Develp research and learning strategies that cmplement the PYP Develp a prgramme fr develping infrmatin literacy Develp assessment strategies t infrm the impact f all facets f prvisin Wrk, plan and deliver cllabratively with clleagues acrss the PYP 5.
