Lahainaluna High School Festival I KA NANI O LELE Amidst the beauty of Lahaina The PTSA will be hosting the first annual Lahainaluna High School Festival, a school-wide fundraising super-event to support our cherished school and students. Let the rich history and culture of Lahainaluna be the backdrop for all to be entertained! Date: Saturday, September 3, 2016 Place: Lahainaluna High School 980 Lahainaluna Rd Lahaina, HI 96761 Time: 1pm-10pm Events: Live Music, Food and Drinks, Crafts and Clothing, Kid-Fun Activities, Game Booths, Silent Auction, School Informational Booths, and Lei-bor Day Lei Contest. Proceeds of this event will be used to enrich the learning experiences for all students, faculty, and staff of Lahainaluna, and assist the funding of student extra-curricular activities.

Lahainaluna Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) Non-Profit 501 C-3 #99-0307903 The mission of the Lahainaluna Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is to bring together families and educators to achieve each child's potential. Our PTSA, which is made up of approximately 100+ members, provides resources and support outside of the regular educational environment to parents, teachers and students, so that Lahainaluna students can excel in education, society, and life. We work to bridge the gap between School and the Community to empower and equip children socially and academically, while advocating for supporting resources for every child. Each year, the Lahainaluna PTSA hosts activities and events to engage families, students, and teachers, including our annual Reflections Art Program, volunteering on campus, fulfilling Teacher Wish List items to provide additional resources to the classrooms, assist in Lahainaluna traditions of lighting the L, providing merit scholarships to graduating seniors to assist them in their post secondary education goals, and hosting a safe, drug-free, alcohol-free, fun-filled Project Graduation Event. Lahainaluna PTSA will be assisting over 40 different organizations that are a part of our school campus with fundraising for their programs by hosting the very first Lahainaluna High School Festival, I KA NANI O LELE. This Festival will allow Community Business to work with School Organizations to raise money at the beginning of the School year to assist in funding their programs. Lahaina has been very supportive of Community Events like, The Taste of Lahaina and Plantation Days. Last year was the last of these events. This provided a wonderful opportunity to host an event that is familiar to our past Community Events but allows us to fund our School Organizations.

School Organization Lahainaluna offers a variety of clubs for our students. We have about 20 clubs on campus that encourage our students to give back to our community, build social skills, learn, compete, and allows some of them to travel the world. Many of these clubs must raise money every year to accomplish these goals. Best Buddies Anime Club Japanese Club HOSA Chess Club Surf Club Robotics Rotary Interact Club DECA Future Farmers of America Student Council Ka Lama National Honors Society Drama Club AOHT Hawaiiana Club Food Service Club PAAC Marching Band Aloha Club Classes All four Class are responsible to raise money for class activities like prom, balls, homecoming, class activities, class t-shirts, and graduation. Class of 2017 Class of 2018 Class of 2019 Class of 2020

Sports Lahainaluna has a very rich history of great sports teams and we have a great community that supports our programs. Each team must fundraise every year to pay for uniforms and travel expenses. Football Volleyball Softball Wrestling Swimming Polo Soccer Baseball Track & Field Cheerleading Basketball Cross Country Tennis Golf Bowling Surfing Paddling Supporting Organizations and Foundations Lahainaluna has a very supportive Community that is always trying to support our school. These organizations donate services, time, money to supporting programs that help teachers and students. One of the things that make Lahainaluna unique, is that it s the only Public School that has a Boarding Department. The Boarding Department provides learning and working programs which are available to the Boarding students. These Foundations also provide Scholarships to our deserving students.
