Practice makes perfect! THE BEST WAY TO REVISE FOR MATHS IS BY DOING LOTS AND LOTS OF QUESTIONS. THE REVISION TACTICS THAT ARE USED FOR OTHER SUBJECTS, LIKE TAKING NOTES OR DRAWING MIND MAPS WON T WORK AS WELL FOR MATHS COMPARED WITH DOING LOTS OF PRACTICE QUESTIONS! LITTLE AND OFTEN STARTING NOW WILL MEAN THERE ISNT SO MUCH PRESSURE IN MAY / JUNE WHEN ALL OF THE EXAMS COME ROUND.

How can you monitor the maths revision that your child is completing? As maths revision involves lots of practice, your child could show you the completed worksheets and exam questions that they have printed off or written down (they can also bring these in for their maths teacher to mark and give feedback).

Questions Why are students in sets levels? Sometimes students are in sets as they are entered for different tiers of exams. Staff choose the most appropriate tier based on assessments and performance across the course. If no tier of entry then all students can access every grade. There is no limit or restriction and staff will be pushing students to achieve the highest grade possible.
Questions Is there an exam schedule? Students will be given a timetable for the trial exams and the summer exams in advance
Questions A level: can students be asked to leave if they are not on target to pass A levels? We cannot ask students to leave based on attainment. We would invite a conversation with the student and parents regularly if the student is not on target.
