Entry criteria The CIM require that you meet one or more of the following criteria: 1. CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing (Level 4) OR 2. Any relevant Level 4 qualification OR 3. Foundation Degree in Business with Marketing OR 4. Any Bachelor s or Master s degree from a recognised university, where one third of credits relate to marketing content (ie 120 credits in Bachelor s or 60 credits with Master s degrees. 5. Professional practice two years or more in an operational role and diagnostic assessment onto Level 6 (see below). A free, online diagnostic assessment may be taken by applicants, which provides a useful guide on entry level and readiness for the course. We can provide assistance on this for you. Note: With qualifications which are over 10 years old, the CIM will not consider them for exemption purposes. Those educated outside of the UK must have achieved the equivalent of the above entry criteria and, where English is not their first language, provide evidence of English language competence. This must include evidence of either the IELTS Academic Unit with an overall score of 6.5 (each component mark must be 6.0 or above) OR the Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (grade B or above). What does the course consist of? There are four units which can be completed two are compulsory and two are electives. Students can choose one elective from the choice of two. Three units must be passed to achieve this qualification. Each unit is classed as an award, this means that you can earn an individual certificate too (ie collect them as you study). The qualification units include: 1. Strategic Marketing - compulsory 2. Mastering Metrics compulsory Then a choice of one of the following (students can opt to study all four units) 3. How does the course work? We have put flexibility and simplicity at the core of this course allowing you to fit it in with a busy work and private life. The course is sandwiched so you have online before and after the face to face session. That way you gain the benefit of individual tutor support, but also a group session to accelerate and focus your studies. You can decide where, when, how to study the online and we provide handy podcasts to guide your studies. This is a course for motivated students, but allows you maximum work/life balance to suit your needs. A key dates schedule is provided and there are options for regular feedback on your lesson activities or CIM assignment tasks. The class session takes place on a weekend.
