A t t e n d a n c e I n f o r m a t i o n Cavelero considers regular attendance to be a necessary part of student learning. We believe regular attendance instills a sense of responsibility in each student that will carry over after their time here. With this in mind we have an attendance policy which states a student may lose credit if they exceed 10 (excused or unexcused) absences in any semester. Students are allowed to retrieve up to 5 excused absences through their attendance at Saturday School or after school Study Corral. Homework will not be requested through our office until the student s third consecutive day of absence. Parents may, however, contact teachers via e-mail at any time regarding assignments missed due to absences. If you have any questions regarding attendance please contact Carilyn Bailey in the Attendance office at 425-335-1629 or email Carilyn_Bailey@lkstevens.wednet.edu REGISTRAR INFORMATION If you have an address, emergency contact or other important changes please contact our registrar, Mrs. Perfect-Reading @ 425.335.1634 or email Tanya_Perfect-Reading@lkstevens.wednet.edu 3RD ANNUAL CAVELERO MID HIGH SCHOOL TURKEY TROT Getting into the holiday spirit Running Club hosted the third annual Turkey Trot. The race was a 1.4 mile fun run around Cavelero Mid High School. The first place male and female both received the ultimate Thanksgiving prize, a 19.4 pound frozen turkey! On top of the friendly competition all participants enjoyed hot chocolate and apple cider. Here are the top three results: Girls: 1. Sam Donner 8:13 (school record) 2. Zoie Mastin 8:21 3. Cassandra Valles 8:50 Boys: 1. Nick Paduano 7:25 2. Riley Koon 7:35 3. Ethan Anastasi 7:54 Cavelero Mid High School is excited to have the WeatherBug forecast for Lake Stevens. The WeatherBug program partners with King 5 news and you will occasionally see our weather station information highlighted by meteorologist Jeff Renner. The data collected by our weather station will also support our students and staff in our science and health classes!
