UNIFORM All students are expected to wear their full uniform with pride whilst at the College, at official functions, and as they travel to and from the College. Backpack The College backpack is compulsory for all students and is considered part of the uniform. These backpacks are available for purchase through the College Shop. Students are to ensure that they do not write on their backpack or place stickers on the backpack. Students may place a single appropriate identifying feature on their backpack such as a key ring or a ribbon. Appearance The College seeks to foster an understanding in the importance of personal appearance and all students are expected to wear their full school uniform appropriately and with pride, both at school and in the community. Hair General Hair - Girls Hair - Boys Jewellery Styles, regardless of gender should be neat, tidy, and not of an extreme nature. Use of hair dyes, streaks and coloured tips are not appropriate. Hair below shoulder length is to be tied up neatly. Hair accessories are to be in College colours fancy bows or combs are not permitted. Girls are encouraged to use hair accessories that are available for purchase from the College Shop. Beads and Bali plaits are not acceptable. Hair should be short and well groomed, completely off the collar, not over eyes or tucked behind the ears. Girls may wear one pair of plain silver or gold stud earrings in the earlobe not sleepers (rings). Medical chains or bracelets may be worn. General rings, necklaces, bracelets and other jewellery (other than stud earrings) may not be worn. There are to be no other piercings or tattoos. Make Up Nails Students are not to wear make-up. Clear nail polish only is acceptable. False finger nails are not permitted. College uniform garments that become worn, damaged, deteriorated, or ill-fitting are to be replaced and shoes are not to be worn with holes in the front or without laces. Chewing gum is banned at school and on all school activities. While in school uniform, students should not chew gum. All uniform items are available from the College Shop. GIRLS UNIFORM GUIDELINES Summer Dress Winter Tunic Winter Shirt Worn at the knee. Worn at the knee. Winter Stockings Leggings are not permitted to be worn under the College uniform. Underwear Hat: Scarf: Worn at the ankle or folded over. College regulation briefs (Kindergarten to Year Two) for Kindergarten and Year One: black velcro highly polished hard leather shoes. Year Two to Six: black polished strong conventional hard leather lace up. No buckles. Leather shoes must be kept clean and polished. Navy: Slouch with Screenprint Hats to be worn to and from the College, at official school events and in the playground. The College Sports cap may be worn as an alternative in the playground only. College regulation available at the College Shop only. BOYS UNIFORM GUIDELINES Shirt Shorts Tie Jumper Winter Trousers Hat: Scarf: Short sleeve shirt worn in both summer and winter. A long sleeve shirt is available for winter. Shirts should be long enough to tuck in, and kept tucked in at all times. Elastic back shorts Worn to the knee College banded socks for Kindergarten and Year One: black Velcro highly polished hard leather shoes. Year Two to Six: black polished strong conventional hard leather lace up. No buckles. Leather shoes must be kept clean and polished. Navy - Worn at all times with the Winter Uniform. Navy with College crest. Regulation only Navy: Slouch with Screenprint Hats are to be worn to and from the College, at official school events and in the playground. As per the recommended brochure: Predominately white lace up shoes. Any stripes or highlighting need to reflect College colours of blue, grey and gold. No fluoro stripes, laces or soles are permitted. Velcro for Kindergarten to Year Two only Worn for all practical Sport/PE Lessons. WINTER - TERM TWO AND THREE House Shirt Tracksuit Sports Cap In House colours Sports tracksuit pants and jacket. College - RHAC white sport socks. The College Shop can assist by ordering personalised labels. Please ask for a brochure at the College Shop. All stationery items are available from The College Shop at competitive prices. The College will provide exercise and textbooks for all K 6 students. In Kindergarten and Year One there is no need for children to have a pencil case, coloured pencils, textas or scissors. The College will supply all of these items for children to use in the classroom.
