DipIFR CIMA All listed countries in the European Union are required to prepare consolidated company accounts in compliance with IFRS. IFRS also affects associates and subsidiaries of EU-listed companies, and with many countries around the world moving towards applying IFRS, the impact of financial reporting is significant. Our course aims to offer students detailed and directly applicable knowledge covering IFRS supported by practical examples and case studies. Is the DipIFR for you? The program is for accounting professionals already experienced in country specific financial reporting standards, who would like to develop their knowledge of International Accounting Standards and wish to acquire an internationally recognised qualification, specialised in IFRS, from a global institution (ACCA). We also recommend the DipIFR if you are considering continuing your studies with the full ACCA qualification. The Chartered Institute of Management is an internationally recognised accountancy body with the emphasis on developing the management accounting profession. CIMA has 172,000 members and students in 165 countries. The syllabus and examinations are distinguished by their relevance to business and their dedicated focus on developing the financial, non financial and management skills needed to sustain organisational success. While other accounting qualifications are more focused on training people to work in private practice dealing with external audit and tax CIMA prepares employees for a career in business. Non-exam courses CFA The CFA Program has been described as the gold standard qualification for the investment industry. The program thoroughly covers a broad range of investment topics including asset valuation, financial mathematics, corporate finance and portfolio management. The qualification is ideal for people working as Analysts or Asset Managers, but anyone wanting to understand the workings of the financial markets from a theoretical and practical perspective will find it useful. Throughout the three levels there is a strong emphasis on building analytical skills underpinned by a belief in ethical behaviour. Is CFA for you? The curriculum is firmly grounded in the established fundamental knowledge and skills you will use every day in the investment profession. It also evolves each year to include new tools, ideas, frontier concepts, and lessons to reflect the dynamic and complex nature of the global investment profession. IFRS International Financial Reporting Standards We provide a number of in-depth open courses each focusing on a particular topic of International Accounting. Each course covers theory, practice, case studies and examples to bring the course to life and help participants understand and be able to implement the standards. US GAAP We recommend the US GAAP Basics Course to accounting professionals already well versed in another set of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS or Hungarian Accounting Law), but either due to work requirements or out of professional interest would like to acquire an understanding of the basic rules of US GAAP. After each theoretical section, participants are offered an opportunity to put their newly acquired knowledge into use through relevant practical examples. Finance for Non-Finance Professionals (Functional and Executive Level) experts and professionals through corporate financial processes, explains accounting basics and financial statements and provides a secure understanding of interpreting financial statements through case studies and practical examples. Our Finance for Executives programme is primarily recommended for top managers without a financial qualification but with independent decision-making competencies that affect the company s financial position and are therefore in need of stable and reliable financial knowledge. The curriculum offers participants indispensable knowledge relating to the process of analysing financial statements, business planning, performance management, strategic decision-making, handling financial risks and the basics of corporate governance. Marianne Hokky, FCCA Marianne Hokky ACCA qualified, worked at Coopers & Lybrand in corporate finance and KPMG as a manager for 9 years before joining BPP in 2004. While working as an auditor she had the opportunity to gain significant practical experience with multinational companies. She brings extensive experience in audit and financial reporting to BPP Hungary. She became Managing Director of BPP Hungary in 2008. Marianne teaches various accounting and auditing subjects of ACCA as well as open and tailored courses in accounting and finance. Attila Csutora, ACCA Attila Csutora acquired his ACCA qualification in 2005 when working for Deloitte at the audit department for three years. He joined BPP Hungary the same year. He teaches management accounting, corporate and business law, financial reporting, financial management, advanced performance management and Diploma in Financial Reporting courses as well as open and tailored courses in accounting and finance. Since 2009 he is examiner of ACCA Hungarian Business Taxation subject. Veronika Együd, FCCA Veronika acquired her ACCA qualification with KPMG where she worked for seven years at the audit department. She was involved in the audit of several large multinational gaining extensive experience in audit and international financial reporting. Then Veronika joined the Eastern European Regional office of the Reckitt Benckiser Group as finance controller.
