Not all programs are offered at all schools. Several institutions included in The Art Institutes system are campuses of South University. schools offer programs in a variety of formats including traditional classroom work, online learning, night and weekend programs, and study abroad opportunities. In addition, sponsor a variety of art competitions each year, including programs focused on fashion and graphic design. Faculty members of schools are not only skilled instructors, but also trained professionals in their fields, enabling students to graduate from the program with skills necessary to pursue rewarding careers in a highly-competitive industry. To allow students to sharpen their creative skills outside the classroom, also coordinate a number of innovative programs from the Cool vs. Cruel fashion design competition to a national Web Raising project, in which students create dozens of websites for not-for-profit organizations providing services in the arts, the environment, social programs, and education. With a collective enrollment of more than 81,000 students as of Fall 2010, The Art Institutes schools continue strong enrollment and geographic growth as students seek a respected program in design, media arts, fashion, culinary arts, and more. LEADERSHIP PROFILE JOHN MAZZONI President, Senior Vice President, Operations, Education Management Corporation (EDMC) John Mazzoni was named as President of in October, 2005. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Mazzoni served on EDMC s executive committee as Senior Vice President, Group Operations, overseeing the implementation of operating plans for all the Company's schools including, Argosy University, Brown Mackie College and South University. In his previous role as Senior Vice President, Group Operations, Mr. Mazzoni worked extensively with the presidents of each of schools. Mr. Mazzoni has gained his vast knowledge of the company through working in a wide variety of senior level management positions including Group Vice President and management positions in Operations, Finance and Information Systems. With more than 20 years of experience in operations, management, business administration and finance at EDMC, Mr. Mazzoni brings substantial leadership, experience and perspective to presidency. Before joining EDMC in 1987 he held a financial systems position at Mellon Bank. Mr. Mazzoni earned a bachelor s degree in Accounting/Finance and a bachelor s degree in Management Information Systems from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

GROWTH Who We Educate With a collective enrollment of 158,300 students as of October 2010, EDMC and its school systems employ approximately 29,700 full-time, part-time, and adjunct faculty and staff (as of June 30, 2011). Nearly two-thirds of EDMC students are female, and the average age of an EDMC student is approximately 29 years (as of October 2010).
