DMAC Slutins: TEKScre - Test Keys Page 5 f 15 Header Tab The Header tab displays the fields that will be pre-cded t the scan frm. Yu MUST cmplete this infrmatin when yu create a new test key. Hwever, these fields may be edited at any time; even after the test key has been used t scre student dcuments. Nte: Changing the value f the passing standard, will prmpt the fllwing message: Clicking Yes will prmpt TEKScre t immediately rescre all dcuments that have been previusly scred with this test key.

These include all cntent areas fr which Texas Essential Knwledge and Skills exist. Chse a Subject which displays a list f Curses fr which Student Expectatins will be made available when yu actually enter the crrect respnses fr yur test key, as well as an apprpriate list f Grades fr the Objectives/Reprting Categries (STAAR, TAKS, SDAA II, and TELPAS). Click the Save buttn t make the Student Expectatins and Objectives available in the Key tab. As shwn abve, yu may chse multiple curses frm a single cntent area fr a test. Key Tab The Key tab is where yu actually enter the crrect respnses fr yur test key alng with the Objective/Reprting Categries and Student Expectatins fr each item. First, enter the number f Items (questins) that will be n yur key/frm, and click Apply.
DMAC Slutins: TEKScre - Test Keys Page 7 f 15 2 1 3 Setting up yur Test Key: 1. Enter all yur multiple chice crrect respnses by clicking yur muse in the first bx in the Respnse clumn. When yu type a letter the sftware will autmatically advance t the next bx. NOTE: Enter an R fr Rubric answers and enter a numeric value fr griddables. D nt skip lines. Enter yur respnse where the questin will appear n the test. 2. Chse the STAAR radi buttn t access the Reprting Categries t tie them t yur respnses, r the TAKS radi buttn fr TAKS Objectives. The TEKS ratin buttn will identify Student Expectatins that can als be dual-cded. 3. A flating windw cntaining the Reprting Categries/Objectives/Student Expectatins will appear. Chse yur categries fr each questin. Click the red X t delete the reprting categry and select anther if needed.

A pp-up windw will appear fr yu t make yur selectin Readiness Standard SEs will appear in green Supprting Standard SEs will be blue Prcess Skills will be purple Yu can narrw the list by standard type by clicking the checkbxes at the tp f the flating windw NOTE: If yu chse a previus year (ld TEKS) the Student Expectatins will nt be tied t the STAAR standards. Be sure t click the Save buttn t save yur wrk. An Objective r Expectatin can be remved by clicking n that cell in the test key and then clicking n the red X.

Griddable respnses can be entered where they appear n the test key in numeric frm. Rubric-based Assessments can be added by clicking n the Scring checkbx. Yu may cpy test keys frm any f the State Assessment, CSCOPE, TAG, r TEKScre tabs: State Assessment -- use this ptin fr cpying the Released Tests frm TEA. Displays a list f Released Tests by Assessment type (TAKS, SDAA II, r TELPAS), Schl Year, r Grade. 1. Chse yur test key by clicking the radi buttn n the left. 2. Chse alternating r nn-alternating answer chices (NOTE: 3rd grade is the nly grade level which uses nn-alternating answer chices in the Released Tests). 3. Click the Cpy buttn at the bttm f the windw t cmplete the prcess.
DMAC Slutins: TEKScre - Test Keys Page 11 f 15 CSCOPE CSCOPE users can create lcal benchmarks using CSCOPE items directly in TEKScre -- withut having t first create a test in TAG. Identify yur Cntent Area, Curse, and Language, chse alternating r nn-alternating and click Cpy. TAG -- use this ptin if yu have created a test in the DMAC Slutins TAG sftware.

TEKScre -- use this ptin if yu want t make a cpy f an existing TEKScre test key. Yu might wish t d this if yu plan t use an existing test key frm a previus year r if yu want t use the same test fr tw different grups f students (ex. general educatin and special educatin) but wuld prefer t reprt the results separately. Filter the list by chsing the Schl Year and Grade level. Click the radi buttn n the left. Chse alternating r nn-alternating and then click the Cpy buttn.

All entries will be dated, time-stamped and listed in reverse rder with the mst recent at the tp. The Area drp-dwn list will filter the list by the type f change made.

Chsing a Rle frm the drp-dwn list at the tp right will narrw r expand the list f users frm yur district and/r campuses. Check the bx t the left f the user yu wish t grant access t yur test key and click the Update User Access buttn at the bttm f the list.

Chse the Subject t be assessed, Grade level, Versin number, Language, administratin Date, passing Standard, and Descriptin. Click Save t create the new test key. Yu will be directed t the Tests Key: Detail page. (See page 4 f this manual). Cntinue as instructed.
