Once this is done you will receive welcome mail from Admissions Department. Step 2. Submit the Online Application Form and JSAT (Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test). Step 3. Receive the Admission Offer Letter Step 4. Payment of Registration fee of Rs. 50,000/- within 10 days of the Admission Offer Letter. However, in case, you choose not to join the course, after deduction of the processing fee Rs. 1,000/- remaining Rs. 49,000/- would be refundable. Step 5. Ideally the prospective students are expected to have the following standard entry requirements: Passed 10+2 or equivalent from CBSE or any other recognized education board The medium of instruction is English JSAT is mandatory for admission in B.A. G.A. How is the assessment done? Modes of assessment on this course comprise practically-oriented assignments such as reports, presentations, portfolios comprising blog entries and other forms of reflective writing, briefing papers, individual and group research projects, and case studies. This is in addition to essays and subjective written examinations. Q.13. What are the career opportunities available? Ans. Career opportunities A Career Director assists students in finding the right internships in the United Nations system, other internships in the United Nations system, other intergovernmental, regional anon-governmental organisations, financial institutions, think tanks and diplomatic missions. The curriculum of the B.A. (Hons.) (G.A.) includes a mandatory guided internship requirement that prepares students for career in the multiple opportunities afforded by ever-expanding career streams like Peace and Conflict Resolution, International Justice, International Economic Development, Humanitarian Relief, Human Rights Advocacy, Political and Economic Risk Analysis etc. Graduates of JSIA go on to become versatile international affairs professionals. Ans.: As part of your studies, you have opportunities to engage with serving and former diplomats and other practitioners in international negotiation, both on- and off-campus. Q.15. How to apply for B.A. (Hons.) (G.A.) Ans.: Applicants to the B.A. (Hons.) (G.A.) at JSIA must have successfully passed the examination at the 10+2 level of schooling or its equivalent. Students who will complete 10+2 in 2015 can also apply. This course is open to students from any stream including Arts, Commerce, and Science etc. All applicants need to fill the B.A. (Hons.) (G.A.) admissions form, which includes an essay exam, and pay an application fee. Both can be done through the JSIA website hyperlink it to the URL (http://www.jsia.edu.in/admissions). Students with SAT or ACT scores need not take the JSAT. Early applicants will get priority in receiving scholarships. Q.16. Ans. What are the specific Scholarships available to a Student? O.P. Jindal Outstanding Merit Scholarships. The top five essay exam scorers who enroll in the B.A. (Hons.) (G.A.) programme will be awarded the O.P. Jindal Outstanding Merit Scholarship of variable amount. Shallu Jindal Outstanding Women Scholarships. The aim of the scholarship, which is of variable amount, is to nurture, encourage and support outstanding women to enter the field of international studies. Savitri Jindal Merit-cum-Means Fellowships. This fellowship is for outstanding students who may not otherwise be able to afford the full fees of the B.A. (Hons.) (G.A.). Naveen Jindal Young Global Scholarships. The aim of the scholarship, which is of variable amount, is to nurture, encourage and support young global leaders. It will be awarded on the basis of an independent selection process, which includes an assessment of the candidates grades in his/her 10+2 level of schooling or its equivalent, extracurricular achievements etc. Haryana Domicile.
