It s always a joy to sit in my office and hear the sounds of the school reverberating around me. It might be the voices of our students, a Taiko drumming practice, or a wellness breakfast in the foyer. All are reminders of the vitality of our school a veritable symphony of UTS activity. Rosemary Welcome Our students flock to UTS from across the Greater Toronto Area. Intellectually curious, creative, eager to take initiative and supportive of one another, they come together to achieve remarkable things. Rosemary Evans Principal utschools.ca/admissions

UTS actively seeks students who represent varied socioeconomic backgrounds. Admission decisions and the financial assistance decisions are made independently, and all financial assistance bursaries are based exclusively on need. UTS has one of the largest financial assistance programs among independent schools in Canada and annually awards over $1.2 million in aid to approximately 20% of the student body. I absolutely would nothave been able to go to UTS without the bursary program. It opened a lot of doors. It means a lot for me to be able togive back to the community. Isabella Chiu Class of 2013 *Families with limited financial resources can ask for a fee waiver by calling 416-946-7995 University of Toronto Schools

As an alumus, I look forward to keeping my relationship with UTS and the students here for years to come. I m in my seventh year volunteering with the UTS Branching Out mentorship program, which connects our senior students and alumni. It helps them find an important balance. That s also one of the reasons I teach Taiko drumming to students after school. It helps them with their confidence and teamwork important skills for anyone s success. Anthony Lee Class of 1986 utschools.ca/admissions

I had no idea I would become so involved in school life. The great thing about UTS is that with so many co-curriculars, you make close friends with students across all tgrades. That s what makes UTS such a unique community, and that s why the atmosphere is so welcoming. You can walk down the hallway and you ll know everyone. When I first arrived at UTS two years ago, I was both stunned and inspired by the elevated level of engagement, discourse, and leadership undertaken by the students. UTS students challenge their teachers and peers to continually optimize learning potential to prepare for an uncertain future. This makes teaching and learning at UTS exciting, purposeful, and rewarding. Marc Brims Geography and History Teacher utschools.ca/admissions
