Resignations It is recommended that the Board accept the resignation of Lee Ann Bennett, a classroom assistant at Bellefonte Area Middle School, effective February 11, 2005. Ms. Bennett has been employed by the District since September, 2004. 2. Appointments It is recommended that Dawn McCarthy be appointed as a cafeteria aide effective upon receipt of her background clearances. Ms. McCarthy s initial assignment is at Bellefonte Area Elementary School. Her beginning salary is $10.42/hour in accordance with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. It is recommended that Angela McClure be appointed as a cafeteria aide effective February 25, 2005. Ms. McClure s initial assignment is at Bellefonte Area Middle School. Her beginning salary is $10.42/hour in accordance with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. 3. Revised Job Description It is recommended that the Board approve the revised job description for the Secretary to Elementary Principal position. 4. Leave Requests It is recommended that Greta Fleming be approved 1.75 hours of unpaid leave time for personal reasons. Request for District employees to take leave from their duties. B. Education and School Activities 1. Student Activity Trips c. d. It recommended that Bellefonte Area High School Band, Choir, and Orchestra students be approved to travel to Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio, on May 13-14, 2005, to participate in a music adjudication. The estimated cost of $4,000 will be paid by Band Boosters funds and student activity funds. It is recommended that 40 Bellefonte Area High School students be approved to visit the Museum of Natural History, Central Park Zoo, and other sites in New York City, New York, on April 22, 2005. The District cost for this trip is $500.00. It is recommended that 45 Bellefonte Area Middle School students be approved to visit Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, English Town, NJ, on June 17, 2004. The cost to the District for this trip is $1,101.00. It is recommended that the Bellefonte Area High School Academic Decathlon team be approved to travel to Erie, PA, on March 10-12, 2005, to compete in State competition. Transportation cost to be shared with Penns Valley and Philipsburg-Osceola School Districts. 2. Homebound Instruction Request Homebound instruction be approved for two District students as listed on backup to the agend 3. Tuition-Paying Student It is recommended that the Board give approval for Kylie Masters, an out-of-district resident, to attend the Bellefonte Area High School for the remainder of the 2004-05 school year on a tuition basis. The Pennsylvania Department of Education approved secondary tuition is $33.51/day. C. Transportation -- None D. Finance -- None E. Other 1. Approve Trip Requests It is recommended that the Board give approval for Nathan Wert to attend a Fundamentals of Digital Direct Controls seminar on April 11-12, 2005, in College Park, MD.
