City Education, Country Style School Production Our biennial school production is upon us! We re on stage TOMORROW, November 3rd at 7pm at COPACC. REMEMBER no tickets will be held and we expect ALL tickets to sell out! The last thing we want is disappointed families on the night who aren t able to watch their children. Children aged 3 years and under do not need to purchase a ticket if they are sitting on an adults lap and students participating in the show do NOT need a ticket. Remember that the seating is UNALLOCATED. This means that on the night, ticket holders can choose their own seat to try and ensure families are seated together. It will be a case of first in, best dressed. Children who are performing are to be dropped at the BACK stage door (no parents please) at 6.30pm. Parents to enter via the main foyer of COPACC. Our P&F will be running a raffle on the night, and a program will be available for a gold coin donation, so bring some loose change! We are all looking forward to a great night. Parent requests At this time of year we begin looking at our structures for 2017. Although it will be a little later in the year when we allocate students to grades, if any parents have particular requests regarding their child s placement for 2017 please put these in writing and send into school by MONDAY 7th of November. We cannot promise to meet all requests, but will certainly endeavour to do so. Please note: Verbal requests cannot be accepted. Camps Our Year 5/6 students are currently at Kangaroobie Camp for three days having an absolute ball! Their time there consists of various experiences in the farm, beach and bush environments and so far their smiles tell the story! We are excited to hear their stories when they return to school Wednesday afternoon. The 3/4 group head off to Sovereign Hill next week! Fun Run Remember to keep working on your sponsorship fundraising for our Fun Run next month. All students were provided with a sponsorship booklet outlining the best and safest way to seek sponsorship and the incentives they could earn. The sponsorship is not on a per lap basis, it s simply for participation in the event. All students will participate together; walking, skipping, running, however they please, around our oval. The focus is on participation and enjoyment. Our SRC members will be working on putting the fun in the Fun Run! There will also be a BBQ lunch available on the day run by our hard working P&F members, so if you re available to assist in spreading the workload, please let us know. Art Show Our EPS Art Show is on next week! Mrs McCallum and the staff team are busy preparing the exhibits and working hard to ensure all students have a piece of art work on display. It would be great to see our school community get behind this event and support our students. See the next page for more information. Baby News! We are delighted to announce that Mrs Slater and her husband Casey are expecting their first child in 2017! Nicole will continue working as normal for the remainder of this year and will be with us for some of 2017 as she prepares for her new arrival. We wish both Nicole and Casey all the very best!
