Counting down to your prepublic exams... Do you know what date your prepublic exams are? Do you know what topics/skills to revise? Have you created a revision timetable? Are there after school clubs you can attend? Have you tried at least 3 different revision techniques? Have you used your class book or revision websites? Organising your Revision You have two weeks until your mock exams. You need to prepare by creating a revision timetable for all of your exams. This will help you to organise your time carefully. Use the template below to create a revision timetable. Remember to allow time for being at school, eating, and resting. Comparing sentence starters to remember... Similarities Sentence example similarly Text 1 uses formal looking font in the headline. This shows that the main text is about a serious topic. Similarly, text 2 also uses font for effect on the reader. like Text 1 is like text 2 because they both uses photographic images in the centre of the text... is similar to Text 1 is similar to text 2 because they both use bullet points in the main text. The effect of the bullet points breaks the text up for the reader. This makes the text easier to read... Differences Sentence example however Text 1 and text 2 both use presentational devices, however text 1 is different to text 2 because... whereas in contrast Text 1 uses lots of colour whereas text 2 uses black and white instead of colour. The effect of this. Text 1 uses large, bold font to show that the story in the article is very dramatic. In contrast text 2 uses small, serious looking font so that the reader knows the story is important...
