What Is Head Start? Mission Statement The Calvert County Public Schools Head Start Program mission is to provide a quality program with an integrated system of comprehensive, multidisciplinary services to participating families and eligible children ages three to five. Head Start recognizes parents/caregivers as The child s primary educator, nurturer and Advocate, promoting school readiness and Strengthening the capacity of parents/ caregivers to become involved in program decision making and participating as volunteers.
