I had studied education at university but was always interested in a career in beauty. I decided to do a diploma as it s the quickest way to get a job, and I heard The Gordon had a great reputation and a high graduate employment rate. The course was more than I ever expected. I found it exciting, as each day you re leaning something new. I got vast experience in the beauty industry and which allowed me to find what interests me the most to specialise in. The teachers are very supportive and every part of the course provides hands-on experience. I have been given real skills that I can use in the workplace, and am now working as a beauty therapist at RACV One Spa in Torquay. Megan Carey Diploma of, 2016 I really enjoyed my time at The Gordon. I had great teachers, the chance to meet people in the industry, hone my skills, expand my knowledge and build a portfolio. I personally loved all the competitions they run. They gave me the opportunity to experience a different side of hairdressing, and build my confidence in the process. I definitely feel as though studying at The Gordon has pointed me in the right direction as to where I want to take my career. I absolutely love the fashion side of hairdressing whether it be runways, platform work, photographic or commercial. The Gordon has given me all the tools now I just have to put it into practice. I learn something new every day! Jordan Andrews Certificate III in Hairdressing, 2016 4 For the latest information visit thegordon.edu.au 5225 0600 thegordon.edu.au
