Who can apply? 1. Do I need an academic background in Economy or Management? Candidates from any academic background can apply. Core courses in Management will be covered at the beginning of the academic year. 2. Is there an age limit? There is no age limit to apply. Please be advised that this is a programme for young or recent graduates requiring no work experience. If you have a question regarding your profile and how it matches to the programme please contact Marion Tosolini to discuss your career plans in more detail. 3. Do I need to speak French to join EMLYON? Knowledge of the French language is not a prerequisite when applying to the MSc in Luxury Management and Marketing Programme as the programme is fully taught in English. 4. Can I learn French while studying at EMLYON? A language centre open every day is at your disposal if you want to learn French or any of 10 other different languages. No French language classes are especially planned for the MSc in Luxury Management and Marketing Programme however optional classes may be taken according to your class schedule. 5. Can I apply to two programmes at once? Yes, you have the possibility to apply to two programmes and this will not have a negative influence on the Admission Board. However, it is imperative that during your interview you clearly demonstrate why you feel both programmes fit with your background, academic skills and above all your career ambitions. 6. Which browser should I use to open the online application? The online application works best with Google Chrome or Firefox. 7. Why is the size of the essays limited? To assess your reasoning skills, we value your ability to express ideas with a minimum of words. 8. To which session is it better to apply to? It makes no difference to which session you apply. EMLYON will not treat your application differently because you applied to the first or last application session. However, non-eu applicants are advised to apply as early as possible to have sufficient time to obtain their visa if they are admitted into the programme. 9. Is there a quota for each session? No. At the end of each session, applicants will be informed if their application was successful or not. Please see the admission conditions for more details on the selection procedure. 10. When is the last session? EMLYON Business School organises an admission session every month from November to July of the following year. You can find the selection calendar on your EMLYON application file under the My application / interview section. 11. How can I change the session I m applying to? In your online application, you will automatically be offered the possibility to transfer your file to a current session. Click on the Save button to activate the transfer. 12. I m a non-eu candidate, how can I start my visa application? If you are a non-eu candidate you will be able to start your visa application as soon as you confirm your enrolment to the programme. Please contact the French Embassy or Consulate closest to you for further information. In some countries, you can apply for your visa through the CampusFrance local office. A directory of CampusFrance local offices can be found at www.campusfrance.org/en The process can take up to 2-3 months. For this reason it is important that you start your visa application as soon as possible. Please note that for Chinese residents 3 months is a minimum. EMLYON Business School will provide you with all the documents you need regarding your enrolment. 13. Is easyrecrue mandatory to finalise my online application form? You are required to record a video using easyrecrue in order to complement your online application. (see specific section interview, question 24, for more information on easyrecrue). c. GMAT / GRE / TAGE MAGE - English Proficiency test 14. Can I apply if I have not taken the GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE test yet? Yes you may apply even if you have not taken the GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE test yet. All you need to do is enter the test date instead of the GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE score. You can communicate your score at a later date.

Conditional Admission to the programme you applied to: Please note that you may exceptionally be admitted to the programme to which you have applied even though you are missing your GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE Test Score or need to resit the GMAT/ GRE / TAGE MAGE. 15. For how long are the GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE scores valid? We accept GMAT/ GRE / TAGE MAGE test scores dating up to 5 years. 16. Do I need to take the Analytical writing and Integrated Reasoning part of the GMAT test? Yes, although these parts are not taken into account in your GMAT score, it is still important for the Admission Board to appreciate your analytical and reasoning skills. 17. Where can I get more information on the GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE? You can find more information related to the tests on the following websites: GMAT:www.mba.com/mba/thegmat GRE: http://www.ets.org/gre TAGE MAGE: http://www.tagemage.fr/ 18. What is the minimum score to apply? We do not require a minimum GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE score. When reviewing your application, elements such as career objectives, work experience, international exposure, as well as test scores are all taken into account in the selection process. Applications are evaluated on an individual level, and eligibility is determined based on your full potential. 19. Can I be exempted from taking the GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE Test? An exemption from a GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE test is possible but only under specific conditions. Please contact Marion Tosolini for any further information. 20. Which English Proficiency tests can I take? IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC/PTE/ Cambridge Proficiency scores. Please note that the scores are valid for two years (except for the Cambridge Test which doesn t have an expiration date). 21. Can I apply if I have not taken the English Proficiency Test? Yes you may apply even if you have not taken the English Proficiency Test yet. All you need to do is enter the test date instead of the test score. You can communicate your score at a later date. If the deadline of the session you have registered for is approaching and you don t have your English Proficiency Test score contact Marion Tosolini for advice. Conditional Admission to the programme you applied to: Please note that you may exceptionally be admitted to the programme to which you have applied even though you are still missing your English Proficiency Test Score. 22. Can I be exempted from providing an English Proficiency test? Yes but only in the following cases:
Your mother tongue is English and/or You hold a degree from a programme fully taught in English (full Bachelor s degree in English) You have spent one academic year in a programme fully taught in English. d. Mandatory documents 23. When do I need to send the required application supporting documents? Mandatory supporting documents must be uploaded into EMLYON s online application system prior to the application session closing date, for which you wish to be considered. If you are missing one particular element but wish to apply, please contact Marion Tosolini to see if this is possible. 24. What does admitted under conditions mean? Please note that you may exceptionally be admitted to the programme to which you have applied even though you have yet to fulfil important requirements. These requirements include: - Missing GMAT/GRE/TAGE MAGE Test Score - Missing English Proficiency Test Score ( TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS and Cambridge Test) - Missing supporting documents - Requirement to resit the GMAT / GRE /TAGE MAGE 25. I completed my studies but I m still waiting on my diploma. What kind of document should I provide? If you have completed your undergraduate studies but haven t received an official degree certificate yet, you should provide a formal statement from your university confirming your degree results. e. Interview 26. Where and how do interviews take place? While filling out your online application, you will be asked to record a video of yourself using the online platform easyrecrue. Your video will be submitted to the jury directly. The jury members will evaluate your video and their feedback to the Admission Board. Please note that the Admission Board reserves the right to ask you for a second face to face or Skype interview should the jury have more questions about your application and profile. How are the easyrecrue videos used? Once your video is recorded, it will be stored for 10 months on the online platform accessible by EMLYON. Please be assured that your video will only be used to evaluate your profile for the programme you are applying to. 2- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1. Do you offer accommodation? On-campus accommodation is available. If you are interested we suggest you apply as soon as you enrol since the number of rooms is limited. Excluding tuition fees, the following expenses should be taken into account: Rent (housing benefits included): 500 Transportation: 56.20 Food: 300 Miscellaneous (insurances, council tax, clothing ): 100 Mobile Phone: prepaid phone cards start at 5 Daily life: 200 Total expenses in a month: around 1100 is realistic. Additional items you can take into account: A laptop computer: around 600 Books: around 650 (if new) 3. What is included in the tuition fees All fees mentioned include tuition and enrolment fees, and lifelong membership to EMLYON FOREVER. 4. Can I get a double degree from EMLYON Business School and London College of Fashion? The MSc in Luxury Management & Marketing provides an EMLYON degree and certificate of attendance from London College of Fashion. 3- FINANCIAL MATTERS 1. How can I finance the programme? Students can benefit from preferential rates for bank loans, provided that a French resident currently in employment agrees to act as guarantor. Non-French participants are advised to seek funding for their studies in their home country. A certain number or scholarships may be available by contacting the French Embassy or various institutions/foundations in the relevant country. 2. What is your scholarship policy? Individual scholarships are granted based on multiple criteria such as coherence with the programme s missions and values, diversity, promotion of entrepreneurial leadership, and merit or need. Individual scholarships are limited in number. So for students intending to apply, please download the Individual Scholarship Request Form on your personal space and send it to Marion Tosolini when submitting your application.
