Teaching Staff Mobility Business and Engineering

Teaching Staff Mobility come to Karelia UAS in Finland or invite one of our professionals to deepen the academic, international co-operation! (Karelia UAS) is the easternmost university of applied sciences in Finland and is located in Joensuu in the region of North Karelia. We provide education as a part of the European and national system of higher education. We respond to the demands of modern working life with excellence and efficiency. We are proud of the education we offer and at the same time we constantly develop the curricula to meet the challenges of the future experts will face. Karelia UAS guarantees the high quality of education alongside with consistent and comprehensive tradition of quality assurance work (audited by FINHEEC in 2011). The student s voice is heard with an extensive feedback system as well as active interaction between students and staff. As far as its impact on regional development is concerned, Karelia UAS is one of the best universities of applied sciences in Finland. With our expertise, the students challenge their knowledge and skills in real business projects provided by local companies and organisations. This brochure represents the fields of business and engineering at Karelia UAS. In these fields, we provide education in seven bachelor-level degree programmes and in two master-level programmes to approximately 1,500 students: Business Economics International Business (tuition in English) Business Information Technology Mechanical Engineering Building Services Engineering Construction Engineering Information and Communications Technology Technology Competence Management (Master s level) Business Management and Leadership (Master s level, starting autumn 2015) Teaching Staff Mobility gives an opportunity to deepen and strengthen our international academic cooperation. It is also a great way to get to know your colleagues on a more personal level. Therefore, we would like to invite you to contact us if you are interested in coming to Joensuu for a teaching staff mobility period. In addition, with the help of this brochure planned for the year 2015, we encourage you to invite one of our lecturers to visit you in the framework of Teaching Staff Mobility. 3
