IV. PROGRAM OF THE STUDIES: 1. Number of ECTS credits necessary for obtaining qualifications: 180 2. Number of semesters: 6 3. Education modules: According to the ordinance of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of October 3 rd 2014 on the conditions of running studies in the specific field and at the specific education level the education modes are understood as: - subjects/courses including all forms run under one name in one or many semesters, including vocational training, the diploma seminar and diploma thesis. The education results obtained in the given semesters as a consequence of performance of individual forms of classes are assessed separately. To obtain ECTS credits assigned to a given subject/course in the given semester, positive assessments for all forms of this subject s/course s classes, - specialisations, to be selected, consisting of the number of subjects/courses specified in the plan of studies. Planned education results have been assigned to the subjects/courses, according to the area results of education, contained in the ordinance of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 2 nd November 2011 on the National Qualification Framework for Higher Education. ECTS credits have been assigned to the subjects and these credits represent the amount of labour performed by a student, taking into account both of the courses organised by the University and the student s individual work. It has been assumed that one ECTS credit corresponds to education results the student may obtain after performing on average 25 hours of work, according to the ordinance of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 14 th September 2011 on the conditions and mode of transferring courses for which the student obtained the credit The detailed description of the subjects/courses and the number of ECTS credits assigned to each of them, the planned education results and their verification method are included in the syllabi. The education program includes English course, which will be partially performed by means of e-learning methods and techniques. Apart from that, program of the studies includes English language courses, which partially will be carried out using distant learning methods (e-learning) 4. Teaching forms of the education modes (subjects/courses): The following teaching forms of the subjects are accepted: 1) lecture, 2) practical classes: - auditory classes, including diploma seminars and courses of foreign languages: - project classes, - laboratory and field classes, 3) vocational training. 6

The aim of the lectures is first of all to transfer knowledge and then, to a lesser degree, to develop skills and competences. A certain part of classes should be interactive. The aim of the auditory classes is first of all to develop skills by means of solving practical tasks and to develop competences, among others by initiating self-dependent statements and participating in discussions. Auditory classes are an interactive form of classes. Diploma seminars as a specific form of auditory classes are aimed at teaching how to write a diploma thesis, obtain information from its sources (literature, data bases and other properly selected sources), record this information and use data analysis methods corresponding to the field and specialty of the studies. In addition, the diploma seminars should develop skills of integrating obtained information, interpreting it, drawing conclusions and formulating and justifying opinions. They should also develop the skill of presentation of self-dependently built theses and conclusions. The project classes are aimed at presenting structural solutions, developing skills of selfdependent solving of decision-making and calculation problems on the basis of the knowledge and skills gained during lectures and auditory classes. The laboratory and field classes are aimed at developing skills of performing research tasks or tasks connected with business practice, as well as skills of analysing the results and course of the tasks performed. Vocational training is aimed at comparing the knowledge gained with economic practice and using the skills and social competences gained. It should be stressed that all specialised results are obtained through more than one form of teaching a given subject. 5. Graduate s profile for the given specialisations: Graduate of specialisation International business demonstrates knowledge on the international situation in the field of basic political issues. He should be able to manage or participate in management of the company, dealing with international economic exchange and also in the field of financial clearance and organising the transfer of goods in export and import transactions and apart from that he is able to deal with tools in the international capital funding and cash market. Graduate of the specialisation Hospitality demonstrates knowledge about the characteristics of hospitality, the requirements related to the buildings, the principles of cooperation with travel agencies and organisations providing tourist services. The graduates will be able to work in organizations and companies related to hospitality management in the position of: managers of hospitals, heads of travel agencies, organizations connected with active recreation, directors of Wellness & SPA centres, and managers in aviation companies. 7

6. Number of hours, the principles and form of completing vocational training: On the first cycle studies vocational training takes place after fourth (four weeks) semester of full-time and part-time studies. Training after the IV semester is strictly vocational. Its aim is to develop skills of mixing theoretical knowledge acquired during the studies with the practice, gaining substantial vocational experience in the field management of the company, which includes: 1. Learning the organisational system treated as a whole (bank, central institution, company etc.) 2. Learning the scope of services and form of performed activity. 3. Practical learning of the applied information systems. 4. Participation in development of various concepts and reports. 5. Familiarisation with law regulation and their practical application. The vocational training is mainly carried out in the companies and sometimes in the other organisations, where modern management methods are used. The vocational training may be carried out: - in the company selected by the University, - in the company selected by the student, - as a part of student s professional practice, regardless of its form (employment contract, civil law contract or self-employment). 7. Methods of verification of achieving the assumed education results by the students: The education results achieved by the student in the course of the studies are regularly verified and the verification methods are adapted to the type of results. In the Syllabi a difference between the form of obtaining a credit and the methods of verifying the education results has been introduced. The form of obtaining a credit for the subject is a credit and/or an exam and this information is given for each subject also in the plan of studies, whereas the method of verification of education results concerns tools used for verification of education results. Assigning a specific type of education results to a given form of teaching of a given subject is strictly connected with the possibility of verification of a given result. The following tools for verification of the education results have been assumed: - oral examination, consisting in discussing problems, - written examination, which consists in solving problems, - constructed response test exam, - multiple choice test exam, - individual and team works, for example presentations, projects and designs, - practical tasks, - reports on the course and results of completion of practical tasks, - active participation in classes or discussions. It is acceptable to verify all educational results by means of more than one tool. During the preparation of the educational program the possibilities of achievement of a given result by an average student within the time designated for teaching a given subject were taken into account. Efforts were made to estimate the student s load realistically and in a manner corresponding to the number of ECTS credits, which has been provided for a given subject. For this reason, in case of lectures knowledge-related results are prevailing, whereas in case of auditory classes, seminars, pro- 8

jects, design, laboratory or field classes education results connected with skills and social competences are prevailing. The verification tools of education results have been presented in particular syllabi. 9
