IB Candidates may apply for the Navajo Preparatory School IB Exam Scholarship. This process is separate from the school s application process and is only applicable toward IB Exams. Scholarship applications will go out during the spring of the student s junior year. 1

SECTION D: APPLICATION ESSAY Along with rigorous academics, the IB Organization emphasizes a set of traits that describe the ideal IB learner. These ten traits make up the IB Learner Profile. According to the IB Learner Profile, IB learners strive to become inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective. Please select one of these traits and discuss how that characteristic relates to you as a learner and to your expectations of education. Your essay should be a 500 word sample of your best work.
