A ppular definitin f psychmetric testing is fund in the American Heritage Dictinary f the English Language: "Psychmetric testing is the branch f psychlgy that deals with the design, administratin and interpretatin f quantitative tests fr the measurement f psychlgical variables such as intelligence, aptitude, and persnality traits. Als referred t as psychmetry." The fcus is n variables such as intelligence, aptitude and persnality traits, but the definitin makes n mentin f the develpment f these traits - designing, administering and interpreting - but nt develping! Dr Kbus Neethling, the develper and designer f the NBI, wh has apart frm all his ther qualificatins, an EDD (Dctrate in Didactical Educatin) and the NBI is primarily a Didactic Strategic Battery f Appraisal Instruments: Didactics is generally defined as the science f learning. It includes the theries, findings, recmmended actins and skills that are essential fr successful teaching and instructin. Didactics is thus f key imprtance in the develpment f a learning and teaching system.
