The questions are: shorter, closed response items (such as multiple choice and matching questions); shorter, open response items; and longer, open response items that require children to explain and comment on the texts in order to demonstrate a full understanding. Questions are worth 1, 2 or 3 marks.

Encourage daily handwriting practise (handwriting sheets)
How you can help o Use the CPG or other revision books of your choice. o o Provide a quiet working area at home where your child can complete homework and revise. Design a revision timetable together revising little and often each day using revision guides or extra homework from school will really help Useful websites/apps: Lexia Core 5 UK http://www.lexiacore5.com/ http://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks2/english/ http://resources.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/literacy/
