The Belt and Road Dialogue Presented by Euro-China Knowledge Community of Antwerp Management School At the exclusive campus of the The China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong (CELAP) China has a plan for the future global economics: The Belt and Road (B&R) Do you have a plan as well? The Euro-China Knowledge Community of Antwerp Management School in cooperation with three outstanding partners from Germany, Italy and Kazachstan has put up a highly exclusive 3 days-workshop focussing on the ongoing implementation of B&R with the goal of exploring this initiative in a welcoming forum. It will take place on the campus of the China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong in Shanghai, China (CELAP) from October 29 th through November 1 st, 2017, and will feature a selection of Chinese and European speakers and important B&R stakeholders, as well as esteemed European peers.

The Belt & Road Dialogue As the head of an international, forward-looking company, you may have heard about China s One Belt One Road, now called the Belt and Road, or B&R economic initiative. Launched in 2013, B&R seeks to strengthen the strong historical ties between China and Europe that have existed since the days of the Silk Route. Taking the economic and social impact of China s momentous New Silk Route concept into consideration has now become a crucial aspect of the strategic planning carried out by many international companies and organizations, with fundamental concepts such as openness, cooperation and risk management providing a strong basis for mutual Euro-China market success. The challenge for today s global business leaders is how exactly to match China s macro-level economic goals to wise corporate planning at the level of the individual company. The B&R initiative is co-creating global flows, which exceed the geographical boundaries of the old Silk Route. Physical global supply chains, trade routes and infrastructure are only one part of the story as virtual global flows of finance, data, and services offer new opportunities for businesses, but also the challenge of matching different platforms and networks to link China and Asia with Europe and the rest of the world. We invite Chinese government officials, industry experts, leaders of Chinese SOE s involved in B&R projects and leaders of the Chinese new champions of the digital era to share their insights and engage in a dialogue with you on the upcoming B&R business opportunities: - What does China s government have in mind as B&R becomes more influential in the coming years and which concrete projects and investments are there in the pipeline? What sectors does China find the most interesting for future economic cooperation? - What are leaders of large SOE s companies, leading Chinese entrepreneurs and investors involved with B&R projects seeking for, and how to cooperate with them? How is innovation, digitization and the new economy playing a role within the B&R and which new opportunities for China- Europe co-operations are rising? - What do industry experts, knowledgeable in both Europe and China, have to say about the B&R? - How can your company or organization become a node in the B&R network and connect to the most important hubs and stakeholders to create opportunities? Introduce your company and elaborate your interest and plan for co-operation
