IB Exam For Juniors (for Full IB Diploma & IB Career Programme only) Only Anticipated IB Diploma & IB Career Candidates IB French SL (in the French SL course ) IB Spanish SL (in the Spanish SL course) IB Math Studies SL (in Math Studies course) IB Math SL (finished Math SL course and now studying AP Calculus)
IB Examination Dates May 1 - May 19 At MCS Central Office Howard Street Math Spanish French May 4-5 May 16-17 May 18-19
IB Exam Registration 12 th graders in all IB classes 11 th graders taking these classes IB French or Spanish SL IB Math Studies SL AP Calculus AB or BC Register Sept. 21-22 12 th grade in TOK or Advisement (partial IB*) 11 th grade in the above classes Confirmation form distributed early October Review for errors Return signed confirmation form by October 15 *School covers exam cost for Full IB, IBCP, and HL exams only (2+) for partial IB candidates
IB Scores Scale of 1 (lowest) to 7 (highest) per subject 24 points at end of Senior year earns IB Diploma, provided 12 or more total points in HL subjects Satisfactory TOK, CAS, and Extended Essay Scores available in early July Scores accessed online with password save it May retake exam in any subject in Senior year, or bank good scores from Junior year to apply to Diploma
IB Exam Notes Teachers work with students on exam preparation IB Exam Briefing mid-april for all May examinees Students who register for IB Exams but fail to complete Internal Assessments or take IB Exams are liable for reimbursing MCS forfeited exam fees Transportation to IB exams is student s responsibility

College Credit for IB Diploma Florida California Colorado Texas Georgia offer one year of college credit for IB Diploma
Georgia Board of Regents College Credits for IB Diploma IB Score Semester Hours Credit Granted Standard Level Higher Level 4 0 3-4 5 0-4 3-8 6-7 3-8 3-12 Semester credit hours and course credit MUST be given for the IB Diploma. Courses may vary from institution to institution, with an attempt towards consistency. Up to 24 credit hours awarded. All institutions will have an IB credit policy and will post it on their website. The policy will apply to both resident and non-resident students. Institutions will collect data on IB students and revise policy as appropriate. A student may opt not to take the credit if it disadvantages them in some way Institutions may also choose to award other benefits to IB Diploma completers. Institutions MAY choose to award credit to IB Certificate candidates for Higher Level courses with an assessment score of 4 or better.
IB prep withstands CLEP exams Students who prepare for IB exams find they are also well-prepared for CLEP exams offered by universities IB graduates who have reported to us on CLEP have all scored high enough on their CLEP exam to get college credit, including those who did not score well enough to earn the IB Diploma.
