Sunday, December 11, 2016 HAMPSTEAD FIREMEN S ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE TIME: 1:00 pm (families line up for the parade) WHERE: Main Street, Hampstead, NH The Annual Hampstead Fire Department Holiday Parade will be held on Sunday, December 11th at 2:00 PM. The theme for this year is Songs of Christmas. Parade participants should meet at Kimberly Dr. around 1:00 p.m. to assemble the float. The students who are participating in the parade are dressing as characters from Christmas songs. If anyone else would like to join us that would be great, but please be sure to dress warm and be ready to walk about 1.5 miles and hand out candy to children along the parade route. All participants can be picked up at the Hampstead Fire Station, 17 Little s Lane, Hampstead at the end of the parade. The Hampstead Fire Department will be serving hot chocolate at the firehouse for anyone who wishes to attend. Monday, December 12, 2016 HOLIDAY STORE (PRE-K GRADE 2) This year the students in grades Pre-K, K, one and two will have the opportunity to purchase gifts for their loved ones at the Holiday Store. The students are asked to do chores around the house to earn the money such as emptying the dishwasher, setting the table, or helping with laundry. The money earned will be used to purchase gifts. Each student can bring in up to $5.00. The money that is collected will be donated to the St. Anne's food pantry. All students in these grades should bring in their holiday store money no later than Monday, 12/12/16. PRE-K / KINDERGARTEN FIELDTRIP WHERE: Greystone Farm, Salem, NH TIME: 9:30 am 11:30 am Ms. Liupakka s class will visit elderly residents at an assisted living facility in Salem, NH to spread holiday cheer. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 THE SNOWMAN MANNEQUIN CHALLENGE (PRE-K / K GRADE 8) Consider having your child bring in a prop to go along with your child s vision of their future self (for example: stethoscope, dance shoes, skates, soccer ball, etc.) snowman. Also, students are encouraged to bring in winter-themed props such as: small shovels, snowball maker, ice skates, scarves, snow shoes, ski poles, goggles, helmets, and fun hats. One last thing please have your child bring in snow pants, boots, hats, and mittens/gloves to school. These items will help keep your child warm and will work as a great costume for the video.
