Traveled every year to India to recruit students and established ties with different colleges in India (2004 2009). (page 39 of Internationalizing the Campus, 2008 Report, http://www.nafsa.org/_/file/_/itc2008.pdf) 3. Organized Discover India Program a 3 credit hour course (Econ 693-81 and Econ 827-81). Seventeen students and faculty attended classes at PSU during Fall 2007 and traveled to India from Jan 5 to Jan 20, 2008. In India, they participated in the program (lectures and field visits) organized by Rai Foundation in New Delhi. The cost of boarding, lodging, and travel in India (estimated at over $1,000 per participant) was borne by Rai Foundation. (Students study business climate through Discover India, page 25 of PittState magazine, Spring 2008). 4. Involved in faculty exchange program, where 10 faculty from two institutes in India visited PSU for about 15 days (July, 2008). 5. Conceptualized short-term (2 to 6 weeks) summer program for non-degree seeking international students (now called International Mini MBA ) and provided detailed cost estimates (based on meetings with Dr. Steve Erwin, Dr. Peggy Snyder, Mr. Olcese, etc.) and worked on other details of the program (pricing, marketing strategies overseas, field visits, classes, etc.) during summer, 2008. 6. Participated in a panel discussion on Economic Crisis organized by MBA Association and SGA on Oct. 21, 2008. 7. Member, Editorial Advisory Board, NSB Management Review. 8. Was a guest speaker and made a presentation about Survival of the Fittest in a national seminar on How to Build World Class Organizations held at Institute of Productivity and Management (Meerut, India) on Feb 18, 2006. 9. Participated in panel discussion on Economic Inequalities between nations and obstacles to world peace organized by Interfaith Alliance of Southeast Kansas on April 18, 2004. 10. Organized a panel discussion on Diversity and Cultural Issues in An Overseas Assignment in October, 1999 as a part of University-wide celebration of Diversity Week. This panel discussion was attended by about 90 faculty, staff, and students. 11. Started Indian Students Association at Pittsburg State University in 1995-96 and served as its faculty advisor till 2002. Diwali Function was first organized in 1997 and has continued every year till date. This popular annual event is attended by about 200 to 500
7 people (PSU faculty, staff, students, and local citizens) and imparts cultural awareness and knowledge about India and its people. 12. Have been interviewed by local newspapers (The Morning Sun and The Joplin Globe) about economic issues.
