GENERAL INFORMATION Course Description Combined meeting of the O Leary Meeting and Minnesota Dermatological Society Meeting - There will be workshops, lectures and general assembly, including a Minnesota Dermatological Case review with patients. This symposium will consist of a multimedia approach to updating physicians about the current and future care of dermatology patients with both common and rare diseases. Topics presented will include areas of clinical, laboratory, surgical, and pediatric dermatology. The information presented will be relevant to dermatopathologists, surgical dermatologists, general dermatologists, and pediatric dermatologists. During our 100th anniversary, join us for a Gala Dinner, tours and other outdoor activities. Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Self-Assessment Module in General Dermatology Friday, September 25 9:00-11:00 a.m. Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Self-Assessment Module in General Dermatology will be offered as a precourse session. Registrants will receive CME credit for participation. Course Learning Objectives Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to: Evaluate current clinical, pediatric, laboratory, surgical, and research information relevant to dermatologic disease. Integrate new knowledge into the daily patient care in the clinical practice of dermatology. Identify practice gaps that exist in clinical, laboratory, pediatric, and surgical dermatology. Apply new technical skills in basic procedural dermatology. Apply new clinically-relevant dermatopathology information. Historical perspective of management of dermatologic disease. Attendance at this Mayo course does not indicate nor guarantee competence or proficiency in the performance of any procedures which may be discussed or taught in this course. Intended Audience This symposium is intended for dermatologists, physician assistants and/ or nurses along with other healthcare practitioners practicing in the area of clinical, pediatric, genetic, laboratory and surgical Dermatology. Credit Mayo Clinic College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Mayo Clinic College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. (6.5 general session, 3.75 Dermatopathology Workshop, 2.0 MOC). Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Other Health Care Professionals A certificate of attendance will be provided to other health care professionals for requesting credits in accordance with state nursing boards, specialty societies, or other professional associations. GENERAL INFORMATION Date and Location The 30th Mayo Clinic Dermatology Symposium: The O Leary Meeting will be held Friday-Saturday, September 25-26, 2015. Course headquarters will be located in Heritage Hall on the subway level of the Kahler Grand Hotel, 20 SW 2 Avenue, Rochester, Minnesota. Meeting facilities are easily accessible by skyway and pedestrian subway, which connect Mayo Clinic to shops, restaurants, and hotels.
