Just What Is A Fellow? In 1995, the SNMTS instituted a Fellow Member Category to recognize active members of the Technologist Section who have made significant contributions to the profession through their leadership in scientific, political, educational, and civic activities.
Just What Is A Fellow? Great honor within the SNM leadership to have been given this distinction. Other professional organizations have similar distinctions. To be eligible, the nominees must be a member of the SNMTS for 5 consecutive years.
When Did The Fellow Program Begin? The SNMTS Leadership held its first Fellow Induction Ceremony at the Annual meeting in Minneapolis, MN in 1995, marking the 25 th Anniversary of the SNMTS. At this meeting, the first 25 Presidents of the SNMTS were ceremoniously inducted into this newly created membership category, designated as the Section s first Fellows.
