Childhood in the Digital Age (a free online course) Is technology really making children lonelier, fatter and more aggressive? Does technology offer children the opportunities to be happier, smarter and better connected? How safe is your child in a digital world? Is technology changing your child s behaviour, attitudes and values? Can you keep up with the change in technology? How has technology changed your child s life when you compare it to your childhood? A free online course, Childhood in the Digital Age, should provide answers to the above questions. The course is run by the Open University, the largest academic institution in the UK and a world leader in flexible distance learning. The course will run via futurelearn.com, an online learning platform, from 8th June 2015. Learners will need to commit to a total of 12 hours (3 hours per week over 4 weeks) to this course.. You can sign up for this and other courses by visiting: www.futurelearn.com/courses/childhood-in-the-digital-age It would be useful to know how many of our parents are on the course, so please let us know when you sign up. Thank you for joining us for Robin Hood. Have a great weekend! Mr Timothy and Dr Tayo Heads of Primary and Secondary Schools
