International Scientific and Technological Cooperation (STC) means cooperation across political borders Ukraine for the sake of all countries involved based on intergovernmental agreements and protocols in priority fields of common interest nanosciences and nanotechnology (including nanobiotechnology!) supported by national, bilateral and international programmes
Major tasks of the International Bureau (IB) Assisting the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in implementing international STC in R&D (and education) Providing, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, advice and financial support to German universities, R&D institutions and enterprises for initiating and strengthening international cooperation
Main aims of IB cooperation and mobility support 4 to initiate cooperation by enabling first contacts 4 to strenghten developing cooperation by support over a limited period of time 4 to support the preparation of and the application for bi-national and international projects (in programmes of other parties) where the groups of the partner countries are working in common priority areas

Standard application procedure 4Application by the German partner sent to IB (electronic application procedure easy-ib), for bilateral measures: in parallel application by the Ukrainian partner sent to the Ministry of Education and Science in Ukraine 4Evaluation and funding decision in both countries 4Contract between the German partner and IB, corresponding measure on the Ukrainian side
