Introduction: Changed of users approaches, technology enhancement, transformation of scholarly communication system, digital libraries and new look for planning and assessment throughout the library are propelling the new environment. It has now become inevitable for libraries to redefine their vision, mission, values, structure and systems support behaviour that is performance and learning focused. Success of an academic library is increasingly dependent on the most effective utilization and strategic management of new technologies in libraries. To understand the challenges and opportunities of digital era, DLISc, USTM in collaboration with Assam College Librarians Association (ACLA) and Dr. Surya Kumar Bhuyan Library, Cotton College, Guwahati is will organize NSCTLIS -2015, a two days national seminar on 17 th and 18 th July, 2015 for Library & Information Professionals, IT Professionals, Research Scholars, Students and interested in allied fields. Objectives: To bring together Library and Information professionals from the country to deliberate on trends and developments in libraries & information science To discuss Convergence of Technologies in LIS with respect to new technological information avenues available in the present era. Brief about the Organizers University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya (USTM): USTM promoted by ERD Foundation Guwahati is situated at Baridua 9 th Mile Meghalaya and its campus is aptly named the Techno City.
