Middle School Admissions Process To apply for admission for 7 th or 8 th grade, please complete the following: q Non-Refundable Application Fee: $50 Make check payable to SFSAS (fee waived for financial aid applicants) q q q q Application for Admission To be filled out and signed by the applicant s parent(s)/guardian(s) Student Application To be filled out by the student applicant Request for Records Form Submit to the applicant s current school records office Math and English Recommendation Forms Submit to the applicant s current teacher(s) q q Shadow Day As part of our admissions process, applicants spend a day shadowing in our Middle School, guided by one of our student ambassadors, from 8:00am to 3:15pm. Sign up for a shadow day at www.santafeschool.org or by calling our office at 505-438-8585. Parent/Guardian Interview On your child s shadow day, we conduct an interview with parents/guardians to discuss your and your child s interest in our school. Admissions Options and Deadlines NEW! Early Admissions Option - Application Deadline: November 17, 2016 We invite applicants that are very enthusiastic about attending SFSAS to submit an early application. Early Admissions acceptances are communicated in early December 2016. Full Tuition Applicants: Applicants that are accepted in the Early Admissions process are required to submit the non-refundable $450 deposit and the signed Registration Form and Enrollment Contract by December 15, 2016 to secure enrollment. Financial Aid Applicants: Applicants that are accepted in the Early Admissions process will have their spot held until the Financial Aid determination is communicated in March 2017. Regular Admissions Option - Application Deadline: February 15, 2017 Applicants will be considered during the Regular Admissions review process, which takes place in late February 2017. Acceptances are communicated within about one month of the application deadline. Once accepted, the non-refundable $450 deposit and the signed Registration Form and Enrollment Contract are required to secure enrollment. Financial Aid To apply for financial aid for the 2017-2018 school year, submit the Financial Aid Application, available on our website or in our office, along with your most recent completed tax return, by November 17, 2016 for Early Admissions applicants, or by February 15, 2017 for Regular Admissions applicants. Financial aid determinations are communicated in early March.
