The Health Science Curriculum Conference is an opportunity for educators to showcase their programs, innovative teaching strategies and best practices and to look to the future by experiencing a wide array of learning opportunities. Join educators from around the country as they come together to form networks and build collaboration to enhance health science programming. The Conference will open at 8:00am on Wednesday 10/12 and end at 12:00pm on Friday, October 14. KEYNOTE PRESENTATIONS Wednesday, October 12, 2016 8:00am- Opening Session Susan Luparell, PhD, holds a doctorate in Administration, Curriculum, and Instruction with a focus in Educational Leadership and Higher Education. A Fellow in the Academy of Nursing Education, she is a nationally recognized speaker on how to foster healthy learning environments for students, faculty, and staff. Her presentation will identify strategies to cultivate a healthy and productive learning environment. Thursday, October 13, 2016 Sarah Marshall, PhD is an Associate Professor in Educational Leadership at Central Michigan University. Dr Marshall will provide techniques to reinforce teaching and Tools for Engaging,Connecting, Assessing and Sharing Content with Students. Corrine Hoisington, PhD is a full-time Professor of Information Systems Technology at Central Virginia Community College in Lynchburg, VA with over 25 years of teaching experience. Professor Hoisington is the recipient of the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional in Computer Programming. Corrine speaks to college & university professors and K12 teachers in over 50 cities, and for such customers as the Microsoft Corporation, and Cengage Learning. Corinne presently has authored over a dozen books on technology in the classroom. Dr. Hoisington will do two breakout sessions on using technology in the classroom.
