The family suggests memorials be made in Charles honor to the charity of your choice. Memorials MaryLou I'm so sorry to hear about Charley. I hope that you're okay as well as Lisa and Susan. PATTY FUNK, JULY 24, 2017 I miss you Charlie. I will be doing something and think of you or start to send you an email and realize what I'm doing. I miss your laughter and your calls. But most of all I just miss you. Peace be with you and God's Blessings. ANGELA HENDRIX, JUNE 30, 2016 I enjoyed working and traveling with Charlie during his time at Southern Environmental. I hope your fond memories of him give you comfort at this time. You have my deepest sympathy. JACK PORTERFIELD, JUNE 16, 2016 Mary Lou our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones in this time of sorrow. Charlie was a good friend and mentor during my days working with him at Southern Environmental. God Bless you. DENNIS AND CINDY SHANAHAN, JUNE 14, 2016 Mary Lou, I was saddened to learn of Charlie's passing. It has been a little over 10 years since working with him at Southern Environmental however I fondly recall working with Charlie and I know he'll be missed by those of us who were lucky enough to have known and worked with him. My condolences and prayers are with you and your family. CHARLIE GRIFFIN, JUNE 14, 2016 I was blessed in being able to work with Charlie for several years at Southern Environmental, and was shocked this morning that we wouldn't be working together on any more projects. He had a talent for finding good places to eat on the road, and we were together in Corpus Christi when I got word that my flight back to Pensacola that evening had been cancelled, because Hurricane Ivan was headed there. Charlie was not your typical "Mainer"; he could smile. I

will miss him. FOUNTAIN CONNER, JUNE 13, 2016 I am so sorry about the loss of your husband, Charlie. He sounded like a wonderful man when you talked about him I still remember his library of books. PRISCILLA VESEL, JUNE 13, 2016 A long, long time ago in Portland, Maine, some teacher made a seating chart in which 3 of us boys with the same last name were put toward the back of the same row of seats, one behind the other, arranged alphabetically by our first names - Charley, Harley and Jack. Some teachers assumed that we were brothers. We sat in that same order until leaving Junior High School. On my old notebook cover was scrawled: There were three brats, that all sat in the back, named Charlie, Harley and Jack. We all went to different High Schools and lost touch. In the following years I bounced around most of the states and all across 5 continents. I never saw Charley or Harley again, but I always remembered them. When I just read about Charlie I realized that we shared some similarities. We had both been in the Air Force during the sixties, were both widely traveled (I actually had lived in Texas several times, once in San Antonio, and then later in Alvin), were both interested in reading, history, the arts and garden, and were both heavily involved with the environment. I deeply regret that our paths did not cross again. I extend my deepest condolences to all of his family members. It sounds as though he had a wonderful and productive life. REST IN PEACE, CHARLIE. Your other brother ~JACK JACK HAYES, JUNE 13, 2016 Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and all of Charlie's many friends and colleagues. PHILLIP DUFF / DUFF FAMILY, JUNE 13, 2016 My thoughts and prayers are with Charlie's family. MICHAEL HATSFELT, JUNE 13, 2016 Mary Lou & family, We are saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. I worked with Charlie for many years at Southern Environmental. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our condolences and prayers are with your

family. Sherri & Bill McWilliams SHERRI & BILL MCWILLIAMS, JUNE 13, 2016 Sincere condolences. I will always with great admiration remember Charlie Hayes. Best regards, Dave Hudson Montreal, Canada DAVE HUDSON, JUNE 13, 2016 Mary Lou, Emmett and I are deeply saddened for your loss of Charlie.
