Headteacher s Column Dear Parents and Carers This week s attendance is 92%. We ve had another busy week at KNPA. Mrs. Hims was extremely pleased to see all of the learning that was taking place when she joined us on Monday and Tuesday. She commented on how happy the children were and was warmly welcomed by all she met. On Wednesday, we sent a team of athletes to the Pingles stadium and they did very well; coming second to a local school by only 14 points. Mr Barker commented on how many first places we achieved and was very proud of all the children s achievements. On Wednesday we also had a Road Safety Officer in school all day, so that we could learn how to keep safe when crossing the road. Next week will be an exciting week for your child, as they will meet their new teacher on Thursday and take part in Sports Day on Friday. Letters regarding both of these events will go out next week. Finally, I would like to remind you that our Summer Fayre is tomorrow. Saturday 2nd July 12pm 2pm We look forward to seeing you there! This is the PTFAs major funding event so please support them by attending. Thank you for your continued support, All good wishes Miss Julia Cox Acting Head of School 2
Awesome Athletics at Town Sports Day On a very wet day, and with a depleted team, Keresley Newland Primary Academy went to Town Sports at the Pingles Stadium in Nuneaton. An outstanding all round performance from our Key Stage 2 children saw KNPA failing to win the Championship by just 14 points! They finished as runners up, with an amazing score of 362 points. Well done to everyone who took part and battled through the British weather. Free School Meals Don t forget that if you think your child may be entitled to receive Free School Meals, please visit the website below to see the criteria for qualifying: https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals Although all children in Key Stage 1 qualify for Free School Meals, our school will receive extra money if you apply for them through the website.
