Course Requirements at Sauder Non-Finance students take COMM 370 as an elective Seats in COMM 370 are generally only open to finance and accounting students. Non- Finance/Accounting students accepted into the program will be provided with assistance in taking COMM 370 in their final semester Non-Marketing students take COMM 363 as an elective General seats in COMM 363 are typically available. Accepted students not able to secure a seat will be provided assistance in their final semester
Course Requirements at Sauder Finance students are strongly encouraged to take COMM 471 Non-Finance students will not be able to take COMM 471 due to prerequisites All students take COMM 491 as their 4 th year core requirement If you are an IB student this means taking 498 for IB, and taking 491 as an elective All students take ECON 255 as an elective ECON 255 is not a Sauder course so registration is up to you. Currently offered in 12W term 2 Year 4 students will be restricted from taking ECON 255 so plan accordingly Alternatives to ECON 255 are ECON 355 (Term 1 & 2) and ECON 455 (Term 1).

Thesis Completed in second semester Worth 20 ECTS Individual research paper supervised by a LUISS professor 100-120 pages (times, 12, single-spaced) Could be similar to a case study analyzing a market sector Thesis topic is typically related to concentration. Could be based on: Literature review Quantitative model Qualitative analysis (case study) Thesis discussion at LUISS Present thesis in front of panel
Internship Optional; completed in second semester The internship is your opportunity to learn through a work experience The internship can be carried out in a private company or in a public institution in Italy, Canada or other country. Examples: ENI (energy company) FIAT (car company)
Internship A minimum of 100 hours internship is worth 4 ECTS. Internship is part of study plan LUISS placement office publishes internship opportunities online and assists students in the internship process Intermediate level of Italian language helps in finding an internship in Italy
Italian Language Course Optional Italian Language Course In future may be part of study plan; could take Italian rather than French or Spanish Objective: acknowledge phrases and typical Italian expressions which are used on a daily basis (general aspects, such as personal information, geography, work etc.). Learning through simple activities how to exchange information on common topics
