GETTING THERE The Weltmuseum Wien is located on one of the central locations of the city, the Heldenplatz, and is housed in the Corps de Logis of the Neue Hofburg. Subway U2: Volkstheater station (exit Ring ) U3: Volkstheater station (exit Ring ) Street car D, 1, 2, 71: Burgring station 46, 49: Dr.-Karl-Renner-Ring station Bus 48A: Dr.-Karl-Renner-Ring station 57A: Burgring station Parking The Museum is located in the inner city with hardly any parking areas in a short-term parking zone for which you require a prepaid parking voucher. The closest underground car park is located at the MuseumsQuartier (Museumsplatz 1). ACCESSIBILITY The main entrance of the Museum is accessible without steps by using the platform lift. The special exhibition area on the Ground Floor and the galleries of the permanent exhibition on the Mezzanine Floor are also accessible without steps via lift.

The event area is also barrier-free. Please inform us and our visitor service will accompany you to the event area (contact via intercom terminal at the entrance to the WMW Forum and at the Ticket Office). Café & Shop Both the Cook Café & Bistro and the WMW Shop in the Hall of Columns are fully accessible via lift. This guided tour offers an overview of the Museum and its collections. The tours always take a closer look at one of the galleries in alternating order. While the guides share their deep passion and expertise, they might just give away one or two internal details. The 45 minutes will be over before you know it. For adults & young adults with little prior knowledge Duration: 45 minutes When: every Tue at 4.45 pm, Thu at 10.30 am, Fri at 6.45 pm, and Sun at 12.30 pm 4 CultureExpresso Short tour Do you only have little time but are hungry for knowledge? Then stop by at the CultureExpresso. Specific topics are presented and discussed both in great detail and a wider context based on just a few objects. The fresh insights, connections, and background stories will certainly provide you with a new approach to our collections. For adults & young adults interested in culture Duration: 30 minutes

Each week is dedicated to another region, and there is so much to see, know, and learn. Depending on where people live, they have different religions, clothes, dances, or fairy tales. Short guided tours of the collection, hands-on exhibits, and techniques to try out will introduce you to the everyday lives of other people and the many things you have in common. Age 3 6 years Duration: 60 minutes When: every Friday, 2 pm Age 7 12 years Duration: 90 minutes When: every Friday, 3.30 pm 4 Please register CultureManufactory Workshops Every society develops distinct techniques of craftsmanship, often in connection with customs, rituals, and belief systems. After a short tour of the collection, the workshop presents an exceptional opportunity to try out or delve into a few of the presented techniques. This is your chance to drill them with questions, and grasp the opportunity to touch and try out all kinds of materials, tools, and objects.
