Fiscal Year 2017 ESEA Consolidated Subgrant Application Revised - (Harvest) BE IT RESOLVED: that the East Orange Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Acting Superintendent of Schools, approves the submission of and the acceptance upon subsequent approval of the Fiscal Year 2017 Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Consolidated Application in the amount of $4,827,608. The project period is July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the East Orange Board of Education, upon the direction of the Acting Superintendent of Schools, directs administration to obtain a purchase order and have it provided to the vendor/consultant prior to receiving any goods or services from said vendor/consultant. (Account Code: Title I, Title II-A, Title III and Title III - Immigrant) b. New Jersey Child Assault Prevention (CAP) - (Watson, Harvest) BE IT RESOLVED: that the East Orange Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Acting Superintendent of Schools, approves the submission of a proposal for continuation of services from the Child Assault Prevention (CAP) program of New Jersey valued at $8,463.00 to provide educational instruction for students, staff and parents on Child Assault Prevention and Bullying Prevention at no cost to the District. c. Relocation of WE Program - (Watson, Harvest) BE IT RESOLVED: that the East Orange Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Acting Superintendent of Schools, approves the relocation of the WE Alternative Program to Jackson Academy at a cost not to exceed $500,648. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the East Orange Board of Education, upon the direction of the Acting Superintendent of Schools, directs administration to obtain a purchase order and have it provided to the vendor/consultant prior to receiving any goods or services from said vendor/consultant. The term of the contract shall be for the school year beginning August 22, 2016 or September 1, 2016 and ending June 30, 2017 for ten (10) month employees and beginning July 1, 2016 and ending June 30, 2017 for twelve (12) month employees, or other periods of time indicated. c. Recommendation to Establish a Cap for Professional Services - Workers Compensation Counsel Services WHEREAS, the East Orange Board of Education appointed Ms. Rhea Moore, Esq. as Workers Compensation Counsel at a stipend of $150.00 per hour for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 on May 16, 2015 without a cap; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the East Orange Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Acting Superintendent of Schools, establish a cap of $125,000 for Workers Compensation Counsel Services for the 2016-17 school year. b. 2016-17 School Year- Rescind Preschool Budget and Contract for the East Orange School District Collaborative Agency Holy Trinity School BE IT RESOLVED: the East Orange Board of Education (EOBOE), upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the rescission of Preschool Education Program Budget and Contract for the 2016-2017 school year with Holy Trinity School that was board approved on June 14, 2016 in an amount of $605,003 for three (3) classrooms with 45 students.
